Welcome back to the Peppermill Resort Hotel and the 2016 Run It Up Reno festival hosted by Jason Somerville for Day 1b of the $565 Main Event!
Yesterday saw nearly 200 players take to the felt with roughly a quarter of those surviving into Day 2 as Gary Kochalka lead all the survivors with a whopping 246,100 to only just outdo Rob Paul's 242,000 and Reuben Moss' 210,900. The likes of Andy Peplinski, Chad Holloway, Randy Lew, Kevin Martin, Jaime Staples, and defending champion Nick Aguilera also survived.

Today will be an entirely different day with a smaller field expected, but with a turbo flight kicking off at 9:00 p.m. and a lengthy registration and re-entry period again, the field is expected to eclipse the 300-player mark with ease while simultaneously smashing the $150,000 guarantee.
The PokerNews Live Reporting Team will be on the floor providing continuos live updates from 12:00 p.m. PDT of all the Day 1b action, along with tonight's Day 1c and the remaining side events on the Run It Up Reno schedule.

Following two limps, Garry Gates completed from the small blind and Deb Swift checked the big blind.
The flop fell and the action checked round to the cutoff who bet 325. Gates called, Swift folded, and the hijack called before the and was checked down by the three players.

Following a raise to 350 from the cutoff, Marty Gorenc called in the small blind, as did the big blind.
The flop fell and Gorenc bet out 425 with the big blind folding before the original raiser bumped it up to 1,500.
