Conatser Compliments Zahller's Killer Bluff

Level 2 : 100/200, 100 ante

With {2-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} on the board, Ian Zahller put in a bet for 3,500 from the big blind. Alex Conatser, on the button, thought it over for a bit before making the call.

Conatser's {k-Hearts}{j-Spades} for top pair was good against the {a-Hearts}{8-Clubs} of Zahller, but Conaster was sure to give credit to Zahller for the play. The details leading up to the river bet are unknown, but Conatser was impressed with the overall line Zahller took.

"That's a killer bluff," Conatser said. "I give you all the credit."

The Ol' 10-4's Worth a Hundred Bucks

Level 2 : 100/200, 100 ante

"They're circlin' me!" Chad Holloway said, after his kings ran into aces and he was left with just 1,000 in chips.

Holloway got those 1,000 in chips in on the button, and Brett Gordon three-bet to 3,500 in the small blind, chasing out the big blind.

Chad Holloway: {9-Hearts}{5-Hearts}
Brett Gordon: {10-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}

"That's a good flop for you!" Gordon, who won the $235 8-Game Championship at Run It Up Reno V told Holloway after the {5-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{6-Spades} flop gave Holloway two pair and a big lead. The {3-Hearts} turn was a sweat for Holloway, however, as Gordon turned a straight draw, and the {2-Diamonds} river completed the straight for Gordon, earning him a $100 bounty and sending Holloway to re-enter.

Zarate Scoops Big Pot

Level 2 : 100/200, 100 ante

More than 10,000 chips had already accumulated in the pot as a player on the cutoff and Ivan Zarate went to the river.

With {3-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{q-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{j-Clubs} on the board, the cutoff player checked, and Zarate went all in. The total was about a pot-size bet, and the cutoff didn't take too long before announcing a call.

The cutoff showed {k-Diamonds}{q-Clubs} for top pair, but saw the bad news when Zarate tabled {q-Spades}{6-Spades} for the full boat. The hand almost earned Zarate a bounty, as the cutoff player was left with just 1000 chips.

Lahti Calls Down Oskooi

Level 3 : 100/200, 200 ante

Former Survivor contestant Shirin Oskooi raised to 600 from middle position, and was called by William Lahti on the button, as well as the big blind.

Action checked through the {a-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{4-Hearts} flop, and the {j-Clubs} hit the turn. The big blind checked, Oskooi bet 1,200, and both Lahti and the big blind called.

The {3-Clubs} fell on the river, and the big blind checked again. Oskooi bet another 1,200, Lahti called, and the big blind folded.

"Jack," Oskooi said, tabling {q-Diamonds}{j-Spades}. Lahti had that beat with his {a-Spades}{5-Spades}, and took down the pot.

Ream Raking in the Chips

Level 3 : 100/200, 200 ante

Dalton Ream is on a roll, picking up a trio of consecutive pots, one of which brought in a $100 bounty.

The first and biggest of the three hands came in a three-way pot. With {7-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{8-Hearts} on the board, a player in the big blind went all in for 13,500, Ream reshoved for 24,500 from the cutoff, and Nick Kiley made a reluctant-looking fold from the button.

Big Blind: {10-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}
Dalton Ream: {9-Clubs}{8-Clubs}

The turn came {k-Clubs}, but Ream found the out he was looking for on the river as the {6-Spades} came in, completing the straight and sending a bounty Ream's way.

Ream added another 6,000 to the stack by winning the next two hands as well, as he's off to a great start as Level 3 winds down.

Don McCormick
Don McCormick

Don McCormick, who won this event at Run It Up Reno VIII in April, limped in from middle position, and John Skrovan raised to 800 from the hijack. The big blind called, as did McCormick.

Action checked through the {5-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{10-Hearts} flop, and the {3-Diamonds} fell on the turn. The big blind checked, and McCormick bet 1,500. Only Skrovan called.

Both players checked the {5-Hearts} river, and Skrovan tabled {a-Hearts}{j-Clubs}. McCormick had that beat with his {10-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}, and he said, "Good flop, great turn, terrible river!" as he raked in the pot.

Chris Moneymaker at Run It Up Reno VIII
Chris Moneymaker at Run It Up Reno VIII

2003 WSOP Main Event Champ Chris Moneymaker, in town for tomorrow's $175 Moneymaker Tour Event with a PokerStars Platinum Pass added, was recently caught in action here in today's $235 Black Chip Bounty event.

Moneymaker and an opponent in the hijack invested 3,500 each on the {8-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{9-Hearts} flop, and the {4-Clubs} fell on the turn.

"You have 10,000 left?" Moneymaker asked his opponent, and after confirming, Moneymaker jammed his last 11,500 from the big blind. The hijack tanked for a while, then folded, and Moneymaker flashed the {q-Hearts} before pulling in the pot.
