Kade Collects Another One

Level 21 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

PokerNews caught the very end of a hand that resulted in Vanessa Kade taking in another big pot.

With {q-Clubs}{q-Hearts}{k-Spades}{4-Hearts}{a-Spades} on the board, Kade went all in from the big blind against Bohao Zhu in the cutoff. Zhu tanked for a bit before folding, and Kade showed {3-Spades} as she collected her newly won chips.

Kade brought her candy-filled unicorn to the tournament once again today, and she slid a Snickers to James Newland after the hand. Newland later traded the Snickers for M&Ms.

Brett Gordon
Brett Gordon

Brett Gordon was all in preflop for his last 400,000 from the cutoff, and was at risk against Daniel Hughes in the big blind.

Brett Gordon: {3-Spades}{3-Diamonds}
Daniel Hughes: {6-Spades}{6-Clubs}

Gordon picked up a gutshot on the {a-Spades}{2-Hearts}{5-Diamonds} flop, but improved no further on the {10-Hearts} turn or {k-Spades} river to bust.

One hand later, last year's Main Event runner-up Loren Klein was busted at the same table.

Macey's Trap Goes Up in Flames

Level 22 : 15,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

Michael Macey limped in from under the gun, as Jon Swift on the button and Ronnie Bardah from the small blind. Voislav Ivanovski raised to 175,000 in the big blind, and Macey limp-jammed for 850,000. Action folded back to Ivanovski, who called off his last 790,000.

Voislav Ivanovski: {j-Spades}{j-Diamonds}
Michael Macey: {q-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}

The whole table groaned when the {6-Clubs}{3-Spades}{j-Clubs} flop delivered a sick bad beat for Macey, as Ivanovski found a jack to take a commanding lead. Macey found no queen on the {5-Diamonds} turn and {5-Spades} river, and he sent most of his stack over to Ivanovski.

Tran Puts Young to the Test

Level 22 : 15,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

Khoa Tran opened to 65,000 from the cutoff, Max Young three-bet to 205,000 from the small blind, and Khoa Tran four-bet all in for 1,250,000 total.

Young had 1,300,000 behind, and a call would have made this the biggest pot of the tournament so far. Young thought it over for awhile, eventually deciding on a fold.
