Duckworth Makes Karkenny Fold the Best Hand

Level 23 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

Andrew Karkenny raised to 80,000 from under the gun with {q-Clubs}{j-Hearts}, and Tim Duckworth called from the small blind with {a-Clubs}{q-Hearts}.

Both players missed the {k-Spades}{3-Clubs}{6-Spades} flop, and Duckworth checked. Karkenny bet 75,000 and Duckworth called.

The {j-Spades} turn was checked by Duckworth, who picked up a Broadway draw, and Karkenny checked his pair of jacks.

Duckworth led out for 150,000 on the {7-Hearts} river, and Karkenny tanked for a minute before folding the best hand.

Salem Makes a Great Laydown Against Duckworth

Level 23 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

Tim Duckworth raised to 85,000 from the hijack with {2-Spades}{2-Clubs}, and Nayef Salem called in the big blind with {a-Clubs}{j-Clubs}.

The {5-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{9-Spades} flop provided a set for Duckworth, but both players checked.

Salem hit top pair on the {j-Spades} turn and bet 200,000. Duckworth jammed to put Salem at risk for 480,000 total, and Salem tanked for a while.

"Maybe you flop a set?" Salem said after talking a bit about what he could have. Salem eventually had the clock called on him, and he folded face-up halfway through the clock.

Jovanny Jayme Eliminated in 7th Place ($2,300)

Level 23 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante
Jovanny Jayme
Jovanny Jayme

Jovanny Jayme jammed for 225,000 from the button, and Tim Duckworth three-bet shoved for 665,000 in the small blind, forcing out Max Young in the big blind.

Jovanny Jayme: {a-Diamonds}{7-Spades}
Tim Duckworth: {k-Diamonds}{q-Spades}

The {k-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} was good for Duckworth, as he found top pair, and Jayme needed an ace to survive. The {j-Clubs} turn and {9-Clubs} river bricked off, and he busted on the first hand back from break.
