Segura Binks The Turn To Double Through Duckworth

Level 2 : 100/200, 200 ante
Arturo Segura
Arturo Segura

Arturo Segura had 2,000 out in front of him on a {k-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{4-Clubs} flop from the big blind, and Alisha Duckworth had raised to 6,000 from the cutoff. Segura tossed in calling chips, and the {4-Hearts} peeled off on the turn.

Segura checked, and Duckworth quickly fired out 10,000. Segura sighed, then pushed his 17,200 stack in the pot. Duckworth didn't look thrilled, but eventually tossed in a call.

Segura: {k-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}
Duckworth: {k-Spades}{9-Spades}

Duckworth's top two pair had been two outed by the full house of Segura, and she couldn't find a two-outer of her own on the {6-Diamonds} river.

Thompson Takes It On The Turn

Level 2 : 100/200, 200 ante

A player limped in from the hijack, and James Thompson raised to 800 from the button. The small blind three-bet to 2,600, and after the hijack folded, Thompson tossed in a call.

On the {8-Clubs}{j-Spades}{q-Hearts} flop, the small blind led out for 3,000, and Thompson called.

The {8-Spades} fell on the turn, and the small blind checked. Thompson tossed in a bet of 3,500 and the small blind instantly folded.

Moneymaker Coolers A Foe

Chris Moneymaker

A player raised to 1,000 from the hijack, and the button called. 2003 WSOP Main Event champ Chris Moneymaker three-bet to 4,100 from the small blind, and the hijack went into the tank. Eventually, the hijack stacked up his 24,000 chips and pushed them in the middle. The button folded, and Moneymaker shrugged, then called.

Moneymaker: {j-Diamonds}{j-Spades}
Opponent: {a-Spades}{k-Clubs}

Moneymaker spiked a set on the {3-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}{a-Diamonds} flop. "Pretty sick cooler," Moneymaker told his opponent, before the {4-Diamonds} turn and {k-Spades} river secured the knockout for Moneymaker.

Capps Makes A Big Call To Knock Out Patten

Level 3 : 200/300, 300 ante

Nate Patten, a traveling dealer who won a seat to the Main Event last night in a satellite, raised to 700 from the cutoff, and Jesse Capps three-bet to 2,700 on the button. Patten put in a four-bet to 5,700, and Capps called.

Patten bet 4,000 after the {5-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}{9-Hearts} flop fell, and Capps called.

The {6-Clubs} fell on the turn, and Patten thought for a moment before jamming for 14,400. Capps confirmed the amount, then tossed in a chip to call.

Patten: {a-Clubs}{2-Clubs}
Capps: {j-Spades}{9-Spades}

Patten's bluff was picked off by the pair of nines of Capps, and the {9-Diamonds} river failed to deliver an ace for Patten.

Aces Against Kings Against Queens (Oh My!)

Level 3 : 200/300, 300 ante

As told to us by the table, a player opened to 700 from UTG, and two players called, before Jesse Capps three-bet to 3,100 from the hijack. The button called, and Sasha Liu four-bet to 13,000 from the small blind. The UTG player committed his last 8,000, and action folded back to Capps, who five-bet jammed for 25,000 effective, and after the button folded, Liu called.

Capps: {k-}{k-}
Liu: {a-}{a-}
Opponent: {q-}{q-}

Liu's aces held on a {2-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{3-Spades}{j-Hearts}{4-Clubs} board, and she more than doubled up while eliminating the UTG player.
