RPT Jackpot Junction Continues with Flight B

Flight B of the Roughrider Poker Tour Jackpot Junction gets underway at 2:00 p.m. local time here in Morton, Minnesota at Jackpot Junction Casino Hotel. The tournament features a $640 buy-in with an estimated $200,000 prize pool, with the first of two starting flights having been completed yesterday.

Players who advance from each flight will combine and return for the Championship Day on Sunday, August 3, where action will play down to completion. The winner of the event will receive the lion's share of the prize pool as well as a custom RPT bracelet, and a $600 Tri-State Poker Championship Main Event seat.

This is the Minnesota poker debut for the RPT, which is known as the premier poker tour across the states of North Dakota, South Dakota, and Montana. The first flight of the inaugural event attracted 206 entrants, 31 of which will be returning for Day 2. Given the huge success of Flight A, it is anticipated that there will be another big turnout for Flight B here today.

Kurt Fetzer bagged the chip lead in Flight A with 1,425,000 and was one of two players to reach the million chip mark after almost 16 levels of play. Fetzer has made two final tables in RPT events this year and will look to leverage his big stack on Day 2 to make another deep run.

Right on his heels is Michael Wilklow, who amassed an impressive 1,041,000. Perhaps the most decorated player to make an appearance in Flight A yesterday, he won a WSOP bracelet back in June by taking down Event #1: $1,000 Mystery Millions at the 2025 World Series of Poker.

Players will begin each starting flight with 60,000 in chips and blinds will begin at 100/200 with a 200 big blind ante. Blinds will increase every 40 minutes, with late registration and re-entries permitted through level 12 at around midnight. A 15-minute break will occur at the end of every three levels and a 75-minute dinner break will take place at the conclusion of level 6 at approximately 6:15 p.m.

Play for Day 1 flights will conclude once 15% of the field (rounded up) remains and those who bag will be in the money. Day 2 will then start at the earliest blind level of the two flights on Sunday, August 3, where the event will play down until a champion is crowned.

Players who qualify for the finals on Sunday with two stacks will receive a $2,000 double bag bonus. Only the highest qualifying stack will be permitted to continue to the Championship Day.
