Championship Day Kicks Off in RPT Jackpot Junction
Day 2 of the Roughrider Poker Tour Jackpot Junction is set to resume at 11:00 a.m. local time here in Morton, Minnesota at Jackpot Junction Casino Hotel. The two Day 1 starting flights saw a total of 474 entries, 69 of which will be returning for the Championship Day. The remaining players will be battling it out for a piece of the $255,960 prize pool, with the first-place prize of $41,000 going to the winner.
Flight A attracted 206 runners, with 31 advancing to Day 2. Kurt Fetzer bagged the overwhelming chip lead with 1,425,000.
Flight B saw even more action, with 268 competitors showing up, but only 38 making it through. Stephen Peppin finished the flight as the player on top with 1,226,000.
Those who qualified for the finals on Sunday with two stacks include Curtis Vierstraete, Richard Perkerewicz, and Nancy Beasley. They will each receive a $2,000 double bag bonus and their smaller stack will be removed from play.

Action will resume with 12 minutes remaining in level 16 with blinds at 5,000/10,000 with a 10,000 big blind ante and the tournament will play down to a winner. Levels will be 40-minutes in length and a 15-minute break will occur at the end of every three levels.
