Ewald Gets There
Level 1
: Blinds 100/200, 200 ante
Gary Ewald limped in early position and Duff Diseth raised to 800 in middle position. Both players in the blinds called, as did Ewald.
The flop came Q♦7♠Q♥ and it checked to Diseth who bet 500. The players in the blinds got out of the way and Ewald stuck around.
On the A♥ turn, Ewald check-called again, this time for 1,500, bringing the 5♥ river.
Ewald fired out a bet of 3,000 and Diseth sighed before making the call with K♠Q♠ for trip queens. He saw the bad news when Ewald tabled 5♣5♦ for a rivered boat.
