Hawkins Coolers Opponent
Level 6
: Blinds 400/800, 800 ante
Terry Hawkins opened to 3,200 from under the gun. He was called by Jason Miller in the next seat over and by an additional opponent from early position to create a three-handed pot.
The 10♦A♥7♥ flop was checked by both Hawkins and Miller. The opponent from early position fired 5,000 in response. Hawkins sprung into action with a check-raise to 20,000. Miller folded, but the early position opponent opted to go all-in for 21,000. Hawkins called to put his opponent at risk.
Opponent: 7♦7♠
Terry Hawkins: A♦A♠
Hawkins had the best hand possible as he flopped top set, much to the disappointment of his opponent, who flopped bottom set at the wrong time.
The 4♦ turn and the Q♥ river completed the runout as Hawkins scored the elimination.
