Ricketts Disptaches of Vuong
Level 7
: Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante
Scott Ricketts opened to 3,000 from the cutoff before Sanh Vuong chose to shove for 13,4000 on the button. Ricketts asked for a count before he made the call and put Vuong at risk for his tournament life.
Sanh Vuong: 4♦4♥
Scott Ricketts: A♦10♦
Vuong needed to fade the overcards if he wanted to stay in the tournament.
The flop kept Vuong in the lead when it came Q♥9♥6♦.
Ricketts gained some outs on the 8♣ turn, as a jack would now give him a straight, but Vuong was still in the lead with one card left.
The river was not a friendly one for Vuong, as the J♣ came in to give Ricketts a straight and eliminate Vuong in the process.
