Irvin Eliminates Hill
Level 8
: Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante
Robert Hill was down to his final 1,800 and shoved from middle position. Gerald Irvin made the call from the hijack, and Saeed Nia joined with a call from the big blind. Hill was at risk, while Irvin and Nia played a side pot.
The K♠K♥8♣ flop was checked by both remaining players to usher in the 5♣ turn. Nia checked the turn before Irvin fired 24,000. Nia folded as Irvin went to a showdown against Hill.
Robert Hill: Q♦J♦
Gerald Irvin: K♣9♥
Hill was drawing dead on the turn as he had no recourse to overcome Irvin's trip kings.
The 7♠ completed the board as Hill was eliminated.
