Flush Over Flush
Level 17
: Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante
This hand was picked up on the turn of a board that read A♣7♦4♣Q♣ with over 120,000 in the middle.
Bill Onley checked his option from the small blind before Michael Holland shoved for approximately 152,000 from the big blind. Jeff Manley gave it some consideration before he made the call. Onley got out of the way with a fold as Holland was at risk.
Michael Holland: K♣4♣
Jeff Manley: 9♣8♣
Holland had Manley drawing dead as he held the higher flush.
The meaningless A♦ came on the river as Holland secured the double.
