Freeman Eliminates Hand
Level 18
: Blinds 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante
Melinda Freeman made it 55,000 on the button before James Hand shoved for his final 68,000 from the small blind. Freeman called and put Hand at risk.
James Hand: Q♣10♦
Melinda Freeman: A♣A♦
Hand was well behind, but he did flop a straight draw. The only problem was that he couldn't hit an ace for a straight as the flop came K♥J♣K♣ as it would give Freeman a full house.
The 3♦ turn was of no use to Hand, and the K♠ river improved Freeman to a full house to eliminate Hand from contention.
