Owens Wins at Showdown
Level 20
: Blinds 15,000/25,000, 25,000 ante
Brandon Owens opened to 60,000 from under the gun before Kerry Dawson called on the button. Jesse Lott joined from the small blind, and James Truan called out of the big blind.
The 6♣6♦8♠ flop was checked around, bringing the A♠ turn.
It checked to Dawson on the turn before he bet 40,000. Lott folded, but Truan and Owens called.
The Q♠ river was checked to Dawson again. Dawson put out a bet of 200,000. Truan folded, but Owens quickly made the call.
Dawson showed Q♣J♣ for a rivered pair of queens, but it was no good as Owens tabled A♥K♥ for a pair of aces to claim the pot.
Kevin Mofield was eliminated at another table to bow out of the tournament.
