Day 1b Started
One flight is in the books and two more remain for the RunGood Cup Championship, a $675 entry $100,000 guaranteed tournament at Harrah's New Orleans that brings an end to the four-stop season of RunGood Poker Series.
Last night, 17 players bagged up at evening's end out of 90 total runners, and a similar-sized field is expected here for Day 1b, which is set to kick off at noon. The leader among those was local player Chris Torres with 244,000, with RunGood Pro Ray Henson trailing in second place with 203,500.
The plan for today is the same as yesterday, with 13 levels on the schedule, each lasting 30 minutes. Players will begin with 20,000 in starting chips and blinds of 25/50, ending with blinds of 1,500/3,000/500. Those who bag will return for Sunday's Day 2, when levels will move up to 45 minutes.
Some of the players who fired yesterday but failed to make it through included former winners Brandon Fish and Troy Repp, as well as RunGood Pros Justin Gardenhire, Ryan Tepen, and Michael Sanders. We expect to see them all for Day 1b.
