The Numbers Thus Far

Level 4 : 150/300, 25 ante

The first two flights had 203 total entrants which brings the total to 279 with the 76 that have started Day 1c thus far. 34 players moved on from the first two flights.

Only 21 people needed to hit the 300 mark and with 2.5 hours left to register that number could easily be reached. Quite the impressive turnout for this second edition of the RunGoodGear.com Poker Series at Downstream Casino Resort.

Lee Flops a Flush

Level 4 : 150/300, 25 ante

A player in middle position opened to 600 and the player in the small blind called. Bernard Lee was in the big blind and made the call as well.

The flop came {Q-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{4-Clubs} and the player in the small blind and Lee checked to the preflop aggressor who bet 800. The small blind folded and Lee called.

The turn was the {5-Spades} and Lee checked. His opponent bet 2,000 which Lee check-raised to 4,750. His opponent moved all in and Lee snap-called with {K-Clubs}{8-Clubs} for the flopped king-high flush. His opponent turned over {A-Clubs}{Q-Hearts} for top pair with a bigger flush draw. Lee was able to avoid another club on the {7-Diamonds} river to score the double up to

Hindman Crippled

Level 5 : 200/400, 50 ante

A player in early position opened to 1,600 and was called by one player in middle position. Casey Hindman moved all in for a little more than 17,500 total and the original raiser made the call for slightly less. The other player got out of the way and Hindman was racing with his {J-Hearts}{J-Spades} against his opponent's {A-Spades}{K-Hearts}.

The flop came {10-Hearts}{10-Spades}{2-Clubs} to keep Hindman in the lead but the {K-Diamonds} on the turn changed that. No miracle jack on the river as it was the {A-Diamonds} and Hindman was left with just a few chips.

Kerstetter Eliminated by Reason

Level 6 : 300/600, 75 ante

We didn't see the action but Jamie Kerstetter got the last of her chips in on a flop of {10-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} against Benjamin Reason holding {Q-Clubs}{J-Diamonds} for an open-ended straight draw. Reason had {10-Hearts}{9-Spades} for top two pair.

Kerstetter picked up some more outs on the {6-Clubs} turn. Any club, king, or eight would keep her alive but the river was the {7-Spades} and the gracious Kerstetter wished everyone luck.
