The final starting flight of the Run Good Poker Series Bossier City Main Event is done and a total of 464 entries queued up for their shot at the $53,360 first prize and the Showbound trophy.

Demond Williams led the final flight with 225,000. The 30 that survived Day 1C will join the other 64 players and for Day 2 Sunday at noon.

Kris Burchfield, Chris Conrad, and Chris Horter all played multiple bullets and failed to qualify. Horter was the one who made it the furthest. Shortly after the clock ticked over to the final level of the day, Horter got all in against Vance Wyly with two pair on the turn. Wyly made a better two pair on the river and sent Horter to the rail.

Ray Henson fired a few bullets, but managed to find a bag in Day 1B and is through with 107,000. Fellow Run Good Ambassador Mina Greco got a hand made card protector today from one of the players and said she plans on using it Sunday with her six big blinds — she starts the day with 24,000.

Jamie Kerstetter, Run Good Ambassador and cohost of the LFG Podcast right here on PokerNews.com bagged Day 1A as well and will enter Day 2 in the middle of the pack with 81,000.

Williams managed to bag the chip lead after a huge pot where he turned two pair and got all in to double up huge shortly before bagging.

Todd Smith is going to be the overall chip leader heading into Day 2 after he bagged a whopping 343,000 in Day 1A.

The final ten players in the main event will all earn a spot in the Showbound satellite where they will play for a shot at the Poker After Dark $5,000 Sit-n-go. You can follow all the action on PokerNews.com.

You'll Never Believe the Hand Mason Hinkle Just Played

Level 5 : 200/400, 400 ante
Mason Hinkle
Mason Hinkle

Rumor has it Mason Hinkle won a hand and eliminated two players with pocket jacks.

If that were true Hinkle would have opened under the gun to 1,000 and got called in four spots before Chris Conrad would have shoved all in for 5,700.

Hinkle would have then reraised to 15,000 and two players behind him would have folded before a third player moved all in for about 21,000.

Hinkle would have called off and shown two jacks, {j-Spades}{j-Clubs}, and been up against {k-Clubs}{10-Spades} and {a-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}.

The board would have ran out {9-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{5-Clubs}{8-Clubs} and Hinkle would have stacked nearly 80,000 chips and eliminated two players.

If that were true, we also wouldn't tell Uncle Ron about it.

Jeremy Rodriguez Wins a Couple

Jeremy Rodriguez

Papa Karn made it 4,200 from early position and got four callers.

The flop came {9-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{2-Spades} and the action checks around until a player bets 8,000. The button and the small blind folded before Jeremy Rodriguez shoved all in for 64,300. Karn asked for a count, but eventually folded as did the bettor.

The next hand, Karn and Rodriguez were heads up with the board reading {j-Spades}{6-Clubs}{3-Spades} and Rodriguez check-called 15,000.

The turn was the {6-Spades} and Rodriguez shoved all in. Karn folded.
