Terry Gardner moved all in from first position for 49,000 and in the cutoff, Michael Briggs moved all in with the covering stack and all other players folded.

The flop came out which gave Hinkle two pair in the form of nines and fives. The turn and river kept Hinkle in the lead and he remained alive in the tournament.
Kristen Boyne raised her last 15,000 into the center from under the gun and from one seat over, Joshua Kopp moved all in for 70,000 from one seat over with all other players folding.

The board ran out and the final woman of the flight, found her run coming to an end just short of the bagging.
Ha Nguyen called in first position and another player called on the button. In the small blind Carson Perrea moved all in for 85,000 from the small blind and only Nguyen called.

The board ran out which kept the jacks in the lead and sent Perrea out of the tournament.
The clock now reads 19 and play will end with the elimination of one player.
After two days and four starting flights, the final batch of players to make it to Day 2 has been solidified. A total of 138 entrants put their hat into the ring for this final flight of The RunGood Poker Series Contenders $600 Main Event at Horseshoe Hotel and Casino in Council Bluffs Iowa. After nine hours of play, a total of 18 players from this flight will have their chance tomorrow at noon to play for the $292,520 in the prize pool and the RGPS main event ring.
Leading the way is Mark Homan who ended the day with 618,000 in chips. Homan found himself knocking out many players after registration closed including Benjamin Stuart and Ryan Phan. His chips never dipped below 500,000 after the Phan elimination and he was able to cruise to the top of the day’s end leaderboard to come back tomorrow in the top five overall.

Homan has stiff competition in the form of his closest competitors in the flight. Daniel Pigago (469,000), Tyrell Lyle (462,000), and Bernard Lee (438,000) all bagged healthy amounts of chips. Each putting themselves in a position to take home their first RGPS ring, Pigago and Lee having come close before.
Other players who found their way to the bag of the final flight included Ha Nguyen (340,000), Daniel Hamm (247,000), Michael Briggs (91,000), and Blair Hinkle (70,000). Players who were not as fortunate included Taylor Howard, Brian Frenzel, Joseph Gatlin, and Cameron Carrea who went out just short of the bubble. The bubble player this flight, also happened to bubble Day 1c, both times holding ace-king. All of these players will have to look elsewhere to gain a RGPS main event ring.
74 players will return tomorrow at noon, with levels at 4,000/8,000 with an 8,000 big blind ante. Levels will last 30 minutes each, with a 15-minute break occurring after every three levels.
