Robinson Shows a Boat

Level 2 : 100/100, 100 ante

A player in early position open-limped and Zachary Robinson limped behind in middle position. The cutoff then raised to 500 and Guanyun Cheng called on the button, as did both blinds. The original limper and Robinson also called.

"Six players," said the dealer before fanning a flop of {j-Clubs}{10-Spades}{2-Diamonds}. Three checks put action onto Robinson and he bet 1,200. Cheng and the big blind were the only callers, halving the number of players to the turn {q-Spades}, where the three remaining players in the hand all checked.

The river came {q-Diamonds} and the big blind bet 2,500. Robinson raised to 7,000, Cheng instantly folded, and the big blind called to take the hand to showdown.

Robinson tabled {2-Spades}{2-Hearts} for a flopped set that became a full house after two queens completed the board. His opponent flashed {q-Clubs} and then mucked his hand, earning Robinson the pot.

Bruessel Takes It on the River

Level 3 : 100/200, 200 ante

There was around 4,000 in the middle on a board reading {k-Spades}{10-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{3-Clubs} and action was heads up between the hijack and Joel Bruessel, who was in the cutoff.

The hijack bet 3,000 and Bruessel "clicked it back," making it 6,000 total. The hijack thought for a while and then called.

The river came {2-Spades} and the hijack checked. Bruessel put another 4,000 onto the felt, and his opponent remarked that he could not call before sending his cards to the muck.

Petree Cracks Aces To Double

Level 3 : 100/200, 200 ante
Chase Petree
Chase Petree

All of the chips went into the middle preflop with Chase Petree ultimately committing his stack of 16,100 on the button and receiving action from an opponent in middle position.

Petree: {q-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}
Opponent: {a-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}

Petree needed a queen and immediately found one on {q-Spades}{j-Diamonds}{9-Spades}. With both players holding two red cards, the turn {6-Spades} brought sweat to a backdoor flush draw. Petree had to fade two outs once more to double with his set of queens, and he did just that as the {k-Spades} completed the runout.

Schmidtlein Jams the Turn

Level 3 : 100/200, 200 ante

Steve Federspiel opened to 900 in early position and received a call from John Schmidtlein in middle position. Action folded around to the big blind, who defended, and the three saw a flop of {k-Clubs}{6-Spades}{2-Spades}.

The big blind checked to Federspiel, who continuation-bet 900 and received two calls. The turn came {5-Diamonds} and both the big blind and Federspiel checked. Schmidtlein slid forward his remaining 12,500 and the big blind folded, sending action back to Federspiel, who thought for about 15 seconds before letting his hand go as well.

Crisp Wins at Showdown Three Ways

Level 3 : 100/200, 200 ante

Lloyd Crisp opened the action with a raise to 1,100 and saw calls from the cutoff, player on the button, and big blind.

All four players checked to {6-Spades}{6-Hearts}{4-Spades}{a-Hearts} and the big blind checked again. Crisp bet 2,100 and the cutoff folded before the player on the button and big blind called, and all three players checked the river {6-Diamonds} to take the hand to showdown.
