Carter Makes the Best Hand

Level 9 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

A player in early position raised to 2,600 and received calls behind from JW Carter in the hijack and Cody Stanford on the button. The big blind also defended, taking action four ways to the streets.

The flop dropped {j-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} and the big blind checked, as did the original raiser. Carter bet 5,500 and saw Stanford fold, the big blind call, and the original raiser fold.

Action continued heads up to the turn {7-Hearts}, and both players checked to bring the river {8-Clubs} on board. The big blind bet 7,000 and Carter wasted no time calling.

The big blind showed {9-Hearts}{9-Diamonds} for two pair, nines and deuces, and it was bested by the {a-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds} of Carter, whose jacks up was good for the pot.

Kenneth Nicoletti Wins Event #3: $185 RunGood DeepStack

Kenneth Nicoletti - Event 3
Kenneth Nicoletti - Event 3

Event #3: $185 RunGood DeepStack took center stage inside Horseshoe Tunica on Wednesday, drawing a massive 452 entries over the two flights the day offered. After those two flights finished, 62 players remained and advanced to Thursday's Day 2.

Sixteen of those players fell short of cashing, as the top 46 players made it into the money. RunGood Ambassadors Daniel Lowery (32nd - $334) and Julie Cornelius (29th - $378) were among those who accomplished that feat, only to fall short of the final table, and were also joined by Papa Karn (21st - $591), who cashed for his second time in the first three tournaments of the series.

However, it ultimately came down to heads-up play between Kenneth Nicoletti and Saeed Nia, and the two chopped up the remaining prize money to take home $12,238 apiece with Nicoletti claiming the first-place title and accompanying hardware.

River Gives Lemery a Double

Level 9 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

The dealer was in the process of finishing a runout {k-Spades}{q-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{a-Clubs}{10-Clubs} in an all-in situation between Dylan Lemery in the cutoff and his opponent, who was under the gun. Lemery was all in for 19,300.

Lemery: {k-Clubs}{k-Hearts}
Opponent: {a-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}

Lemery's opponent flopped Broadway against his top set, but the board paired on the river to give him a full house and score him the double.

Final Break of the Night: Last Chance To Enter

Level 8 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Players are on another 10-minute break, the final one of the evening. This is the last chance to enter Day 1a, as late registration will close at the beginning of Level 9 (approximately 11:20 p.m. local time) and four more levels will be played for the night before bagging and tagging.

Loch Doubles

Level 8 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Bryan Loch was in the cutoff jammed for 7,700 on a flop of {4-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{2-Spades} against an opponent in the big blind, who called.

Loch: {8-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}
Big Blind: {8-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}

Loch had just eight-seven high, but it was ahead of his opponent's eight-five high with an open-ended straight draw. The turn {7-Diamonds} hit Rice's kicker, removing three outs from the total he had to fade. The river was a clean {5-Spades} and he scored the double.

Moments later, Loch was seen stacking some more chips and now finds himself above starting stack.
