Mol Gets Value With Aces

Level 5 : 200/400, 400 ante

The board read {j-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{4-Diamonds} with over 3,000 already in the middle and Donny Mol had a bet of 2,300 in front of him from under the gun. He received a call from his opponent one seat over.

Both players checked the turn {10-Spades} and the river came {3-Spades}. Mol fired out 10,000 and his opponent immediately called to take the hand to showdown.

Mol showed {a-Diamonds}{a-Spades} for aces up and his opponent sent his cards to the muck, tapping the felt to signify a nice hand as the pot was shipped Mol's way.

Fisher With Piles

Level 5 : 200/400, 400 ante
Edward Fisher
Edward Fisher

There was over 5,000 in the middle going four ways to a flop of {5-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{2-Spades} and Edward Fisher led out for 3,200 from the small blind. Players in early and middle position folded, and the final player called from the hijack.

The turn came {8-Spades} and Fisher raised his arms, gesturing in a request for his opponent to show his remaining stack. The player gave Fisher the info he desired, and Fisher bet 12,000. The player quickly folded, and Fisher showed {5-Spades} for flopped trips.

Prior to the hand, Fisher already had eclipsed the six-figure mark, and now appears to have around 131,000, one of the largest stacks in the room at the present moment.

Karn Raises the Turn

Level 5 : 200/400, 400 ante
Papa Karn
Papa Karn

Ryan Phan opened to 1,200 in middle position and received calls from Papa Karn in the cutoff as well as the small blind.

The flop came {10-Clubs}{7-Spades}{2-Spades} and the small blind checked to Phan, who continuation-bet 2,500. Karn called and the small blind folded.

The turn was the {k-Clubs} and Phan fired a second barrel of 3,000. Karn threw out a raise to 7,000, and Phan thought for a few moments before letting his hand go to earn Karn the pot.

Walton "Back To Starting Stack"

Level 4 : 200/300, 300 ante

Hand #1: Rashad Walton was seen all in for his last 5,600 preflop on the button and received action from Robert Leth in the big blind.

Walton: {k-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}
Leth: {k-Hearts}{j-Spades}

Another player from an adjacent table had stood up and walked over to sweat Walton, calling for a ten that immediately landed on {10-Spades}{9-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}. The turn {a-Spades} gave him four more outs to sweat as Leth picked up a gutter to Broadway, but none fell on the river {5-Clubs} and Walton spiked the double.

Hand #2: "All in again!" said Walton to the same player that had just seen him double. It was the very next hand, and he was all in preflop once more from the cutoff against the big blind.

Walton: {a-Spades}{k-Diamonds}
Big Blind: {j-Hearts}{j-Spades}

The dealer made the pot correct and then brought a flop of {7-Spades}{5-Spades}{3-Diamonds}, followed by the turn {q-Spades}. Walton unsuccessfully called for an ace as the turn had come, and repeated his request once more. This time, the dealer complied as the river {a-Diamonds} came to improve Walton to top pair, top kicker and score him a second double in as many hands.

"Back to starting stack!" said a tablemate as the pot was shipped Walton's way.

McEwen Shows a Five

Level 4 : 200/300, 300 ante
Preston McEwen
Preston McEwen

Preston McEwen was under the gun and in the process of making it 6,500 to go, with each of the two players on his direct left having 1,500 already in front of them on the felt. Both players called, putting 20,000 into the middle preflop.

McEwen was first to act on {a-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{4-Hearts} and checked, with the next player checking as well. The third player in the hand bet 5,000 and McEwen thought for a few moments before announcing a check-jam. The player on McEwen's left folded, and action was now back onto the flop bettor.

More than two minutes passed by with McEwen's opponent in the tank. The player eventually counted his remaining stack of roughly 14,000 and then slid his cards forward to the dealer, giving up contention of the hand.

McEwen said something quietly and looked down at one of his cards, tabling {5-Spades} and sending the other card to the dealer face-down in exchange for the pot.
