After yesterday’s flight, The RunGood Poker Series $600 Main Event at Downstream Resort and Casino sees the second of four flights begin at 6 pm today. After yesterday’s turnout of 108, a final 13 players bagged up for the night.
Leading the way was Jael Lewis who grabbed the chip lead at the very beginning of the tournament and never relinquished it. She ended the night with 680,000, a commanding lead for the players to overcome in the following flights. Others who found bags in their flights included Jesse Jones (399,000), Brant Jolly (300,000), RGPS 2014 Joplin Champion Mark Martin (172,000), Michael Miller (158,000), and Jeffrey Copeland (121,000).

RunGood regulars like Grant Hinkle, Brian Frenzel, Ashley “PokerFaceAsh” Frank, Daniel Hughes, Joey Gargiulo, Preston McEwen and Daniel Lowery are all expected to appear in the hopes they carve their name even deeper into RGPS’ legacy.
Players will start with 30,000 in chips, with blinds starting at 100/200 with a 200 big blind ante. Levels will last 30 minutes, with a 15-minute break at the conclusion of every four levels prior to level 8, then it will happen every three levels after level 8. Play will continue until 12.5% of the flight’s entrants remain. Those players will bag up and will be guaranteed at least a minimum payout and will return to play on Sunday, April 16th at 12 pm. Players who do not bag in this flight will have ample opportunity to play in the remaining flights on Friday and Saturday.

A player in first position called while a player in late position raised to 800. In the cutoff, Andy Cordischi raised to 5,300 and the initial caller moved all in for 15,400. The other raiser got out of the way and Cordischi stated "I misclicked." He tossed and turned about his decision for a bit, but ultimately tossed in the call.

The RunGood Poker Series Checkpoint held its second biggest event this year at Downstream Casino with the $250 Deepstack No-Limit Hold’em ring event on Wednesday, April 12th. The event saw a total of 376 entrants put their hat into the ring for the chance to win a ring, creating a prize pool of $75,200.
A total of 46 places were paid out, with the top prize of $15,629 being awarded to RGPS ring winner Preston McEwen. McEwen adds to his extremely decorated resume a five-figure score and his second RGPS ring. He was joined by a rowdy rail that included Daniel Lowery and Grant Hinkle.
