RGPS Kansas City Main Event Kicks off at 5 pm!
The RunGood Poker Series is back bigger and better than ever in its return to the Harrah’s property here in Kansas City. After a six-month hiatus, this long-awaited arrival of the GPI's Mid-Major Tournament Series of the Year has already resulted in record turnouts for this location. Back in May, it was Andre Allen, a Kansas City-based entrepreneur who took home $86,550!
The $1,100 buy-in Main Event is guaranteed a $200,000 prize pool but its expectations are to completely smash that figure.
The first of three starting flights is set to begin today at 5 p.m. local time and will play until 12.5% of the field remains to bag up and return on Sunday for Day 2.
Players will start with 30,000 in chips and levels will be 30 minutes long starting at blinds of 100/200 with a 200 big blind ante.
There are unlimited re-buys for this event and registration will be open until the start of Level 9 where the length will then switch to 40 minutes per level. There will also be a 10-minute break approximately every 2 hours (every four levels until Level 9 and every three afterward).
