Chadbourne Makes the Call
In a raised four-way pot, the flop came out 4♠Q♣10♦ and the small blind led out 2,100 which produced a fold from the under-the-gun player, but then Steve Chadbourne in the hijack raised it up to 5,000. The cutoff made the call as well as the small blind.
The turn was the K♥ and action checked to Chadborne who continued for another 5,000 but then the cutoff then jammed all in for around 16,200. The small blind quickly got out of the way and the action was back on Chadborne who went into the tank.
After around 30 seconds, Chadbourne sighed and set out chips to put his opponent at risk and the cards were tabled.
Cutoff: Q♠J♣
Steve Chadbourne: K♦Q♦
Chadbourne was ahead with his two-pair against his opponent's pair of queens, but still needed to fade a nine or an ace to avoid the straight draw. Fortunately for him, the river came the brick 4♦ and Chadbourne scooped the pot and eliminated his opponent in the process.
