Wild Ride for Pridey and Zhou

Level 11 : Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Zhi Zhou opened to 8,000 preflop and was called by William Pridey to go heads-up to a flop of 725.

Zhou continued for 5,000 and was instantly raised by Pridey to 15,000. Zhou did not think this mount was nearly enough and he jammed in his stack of around 60,000 and Pridey snap-called to put him at risk.

Zhi Zhou: 22
William Pridey: KK

Pridey's pocket kings were well behind Zhou's set of deuces, but not for long as the K fell on the turn to give Pridey a superior set of kings.

His celebration was short-lived, however, as the miracle 2 came crashing down on the river to give Zhou quad deuces and the table erupted. Zhou was pushed the large pot for the double-up to 140,000 while Pridey was left sitting in shock with only a 500-chip left of his tournament life. He ended up busting in the very next hand and was sent to the rail.

Burchfield Flops Opponent Dead

Level 12 : Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Kris Burchfield min-click-opened to 8,000 from under the gun and action folded around to the small blind who ripped it all in for 57,000 and the action was then on Andre Allen who went into the tank. After a few seconds, he decided to lay it down and Burchfield snap-called to put his opponent at risk.

Small Blind: 99
Kirs Burchfield: AA

Burchfield was looking good up against the inferior pair, but he was sitting pretty great when the flop came out with two aces on it to instantly give him quads. Drawing stone dead, his opponent took his own cards, flipped them over, and slid them into the muck himself as the dealer meaninglessly ran out the board.

It was confirmed that Burchfield had his opponent covered by exactly 1,000 and he received a full double-up for his hard work.

Caron Sends Burchfield Home

Level 13 : Blinds 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante
David Caron
David Caron

David Caron opened to 16,000 and action folded around to Kris Burchfield in the small blind who went into the tank.

After around 30 seconds, he moved all in for 128,000 and when it got back around to him, Caron made the call to put him at risk.

Kris Burchfield: JJ
David Caron: KK

"Ah, nice hand," Burchfield said when he realized what he was up against. "I wanted to fold so bad."

to add insult to injury, the flop came out KJ4 to give both players a set and left Burchfielf drawing to the case jack. The runout came 510 to seal his fate and the pot was pushed over to Caron to boost his stack to 305,000 as Burchfield made his exit.

Terrazas Calls for an Ace

Level 14 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Craig Welko, Javier Terrazas, and one other player got all the chips into the middle before the flop, with Terrazas covering.

Opponent: KK
Craig Welko: KJ
Javier Terrazas: AK

"Ok, just one ace, that's all I need!" Terrazas declared.

And just as he asked, the flop came out 96A to give him the immediate lead, leaving Welko drawing only to a running straight while their opponent was left stone dead.

The turn came the Q which was one of the cards that Welko needed for his straight, but the river could not get it done when it came the brick 7.

Terrazas was awarded the entire pot while the other two players were sent to the rail.
