Hill Versus Paxton

Level 6 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante

Action was picked up on the river between Dustin Hill in early position, and Douglas Paxton in the big blind.

The board read {7-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{2-Hearts} and the pot contained 11,200. Paxton checked to Hill who bet 8,500, which sent Paxton thinking for a few seconds.

"I missed my draw," said Paxton as he tossed his hand into the muck. Hill collected the pot in the hopes that he can top his runner-up finish last year.

At another table, Kerry Hildebrand was eliminated.

McFeeley Coolers Bowler

Level 6 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante
David McFeely
David McFeely

David McFeely raised to 2,500 from the button and Thomas Bowler called in the big blind.

The flop came out {k-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{8-Clubs} and Bowler checked to McFeely who continued for 3,000, which Bowler called.

Bowler checked the {10-Diamonds} turn and McFeely bet, this time to the tune of 7,500, which Bowler called once more.

Bowler moved all in for 22,000 on the {9-Spades} and McFeely snap-called.

Thomas Bowler: {10-Hearts}{8-Hearts}
David McFeely: {k-Hearts}{k-Spades}

Both players had turned a full house, but it was McFeely's kings full that was the superior boat. Bowler exited the tournament while McFeely padded up his stack.

Hughes Rising; Burchfield Re-enters

Level 8 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

A player moved all in for 18,200 from under the gun and from one seat over, Daniel "Donk" Hughes called with all other players folding behind.

Opponent: {j-Hearts}{2-Spades}
Daniel "Donk" Hughes: {a-Spades}{q-Spades}

"He's gonna hit the deuce on the river," remarked Hughes prior to the flop coming out. The flop came out {7-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{9-Hearts} and his opponent hit the two one street earlier than predicted as the {2-Diamonds} rolled off on the turn. Instead it was Hughes that hit the {a-Hearts} river and he shook hands with his opponent who laughed "I liked your version better."

At another table, Kris Burchfield took his seat as his first entry on the day did not pan out as anticipated.
