On a heads-up flop of K♥J♠J♣, Carl Masters checked over to Jeff Burns who bet 15,000. Masters just smooth-called and the two went to the turn 4♣, where Masters checked once more.
Burns then bet out another 15,000 but this time Masters check-raised to 35,000, to which Burns responded by moving all in.
Masters then couldn't get his chips in fast enough and tabled K♣K♦ for top boats versus the Q♥J♥ of Burns for just trip jacks. The river 2♥ failed to provide Burns with the case jack for quads and the monster pot was shipped to Masters to put him in the chip lead.

He was then drawing only to a king but the river 9♣ failed to provide and he was eliminated close to the bubble while Winter raked in the huge pot to put him at the top of the counts.
