Winter Gets a Shove Through

Level 8 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

The under-the-gun player raised to 2,500 and Jonathan Pragel called from middle position before RGPS Player of the Year points leader Brian Winter shoved his last 34,500. The under-the-gun player went into the tank and nearly called but he put his chips down and tossed his hand in the muck. Pragel joined him in the discard pile and Winter picked up the pot.

Action was three ways with 37A6 on the board and a swelling pot when Mike McAdams checked from the big blind. A player in late position bet 8,000 and BJ McBrayer called from the cutoff before McAdams shoved his last 14,000. Both players called and McAdams was at risk.

The river was 9 and both remaining players elected to check. McBrayer turned over J9 for the jack-high flush, while the player next to him showed Q4. However, it was McAdams who would secure the triple with KQ and the king-high flush.
