One of the possible candidates to pull ahead of him is Makoto, who just won a three-way pot with minor action. On the 10♠8♠4♦ flop, he bet 8,000 when checked to and one opponent called.
They checked down the K♠ turn and 9♥ river for his opponent to show 8♣7♣, which he had beat with the Q♦Q♥.

With a short stack getting the last six to seven big blinds into the middle, taisyo woke up with yet another big pair and had an easy call holding the K♥K♦. He was up against A♥3♦ and there wasn't much of a sweat on the 10♦8♦3♣5♦8♥ runout. With around one hour left in the day, taisyo has moved a bit further away from the pack at the top of the leaderboard.
