It was a classic preflop flip for Armin Gooya that put the tournament life on the line for the local resident hailing originally from California. He was in there with the A♠K♠ and Hoyeon looked him up with the J♣J♠.

The board remained low on 7♦6♥5♣2♠9♥ and that spelled the end for Gooya.

"Can't win them all," he said on the way out.

While Day 1c has reached the business end of the flight in the penultimate level with fewer than 60 players left out of a field of 406 entries, the final turbo heat is still going strong and increasing in size. Mid-way through level seven, some 268 entries are recorded so far with around 168 players left.

That puts the overall tally just shy of 1,500 entries and that will be certainly surpassed within the next hour.

A shorter stack jammed for around 65,000 with the A♣8♣ and Hoyeon called in the next seat holding the A♦A♠. The J♦9♣8♦4♣4♥ board kept the aces ahead and Hoyeon notched up the second knockout in quick succession.

And shortly after, he made it three in a row when 8♣8♦ took on A♣10♥. This time, it was in style as the 9♣8♥5♥8♠6♣ runout delivered quads!

After the most recent table broke up on the stage with now fewer than 56 players still in the mix, JBJ arrived with far fewer chips back in the field. He made up for some of his previous losses when 8♥8♣ had a mighty sweat against A♥7♦ in a preflop all-in, as the K♥4♥3♥ flop showed three hearts.

However, none followed on the 2♠ turn and Q♠ river to send the chips over to JBJ.

JBJ three-bet to 26,000 and the initial raiser called. On the K♠Q♦6♥ flop, they both checked and his opponent led the J♥ turn for 35,000 for JBJ to call. The 6♣ river went check, check, and JBJ couldn't beat A♠6♠. That very same player then took a massage for the remainder of today - slightly more than half an hour - so we shall get the name upon bagging and tagging.
