Carlisle Finds The Strength To Call

Level 6 : 300/600, 600 ante
Damien Carlisle
Damien Carlisle

Damien Carlisle started the action with a flat from UTG. Steven Dang on Carlisle's direct left called and in total, 5 players pushed a single big blind forward in order to see the flop.

Flop: {8-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}{q-Clubs}

After the blinds both checked, Carlisle pushed forward 3,500 and was immediately called by Dang. The other three players folded and the turn card was revealed.

Turn: {2-Clubs}

Carlisle again showed aggression and tossed out a single 5,000 chip which received another speedy call from Dang.

River: {5-Hearts}

Carlisle slowed down on the river and checked it to Dang. After a brief pause, Dang made eye contact with the dealer and said two words. "All in."

Carlisle showed his displeasure with his immediate reaction. Carlisle started loudly talking to himself and started saying what he should have done or could have done to win the hand. He continued to go over the current situation and was really picking it apart. Suddenly Carlisle turned over his cards and exposed {q-Hearts}{8-Hearts} for a flopped two pair. He continued to mutter something about a flush but kept his right hand over his cards to show he wasn't folding yet. Finally he sighed loudly and literally threw his stack into the middle.

Dang appeared shocked by the tank call and said, "Good call." as he turned over only the {10-Clubs} and threw his cards into the muck. As Carlisle stacked up his new chips that he was obviously proud to have earned, he made sure the PokerNews team knew his name was Damien "aka King" Carlisle.

Canez Forces Out His Opponents

Level 5 : 200/400, 400 ante
Joseph Canez
Joseph Canez

A late position player raised to 1,300 and found a call from Ricardo Mendoza in the hijack and Joseph Canez in the big blind. Three players were in the pot and the dealer revealed the flop.

Flop: {5-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{k-Hearts}

Sending a shock through the other two players in the hand, Canez suddenly went all-in for his remaining 9,000 stack. The original raiser quickly folded but Mendoza hesitated for a moment. Picked up his cards and calling chips but finally tossed his cards away.

Farmer Makes His Stack Grow

Level 4 : 200/300, 300 ante
Christopher Farmer
Christopher Farmer

Christopher Farmer raised to 1,000 from middle position and found Guray Turkay raising to 2,800 from the hijack position. Action folded back to Farmer and he made the call to make it heads up.

Flop: {q-Spades}{8-Spades}{7-Hearts}

Farmer seemed to like the flop and led out with a bet of 6,000. Turkay immediately pushed his entire stack in and just as the dealer was confirming the all-in, Farmer tossed in a chip to signify the call.

Guray Turkay: {10-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}

Christopher Farmer: {7-Spades}{7-Diamonds}

Turkay flopped the open ended straight draw and Farmer flopped the bottom set.

The {2-Diamonds} turn card didn't improve Turkay's hand and neither did the {k-Diamonds} river.

Farmer's set of 7's held and he pulled in a near full double up.
