Carlisle Finds The Strength To Call
Damien Carlisle started the action with a flat from UTG. Steven Dang on Carlisle's direct left called and in total, 5 players pushed a single big blind forward in order to see the flop.
Flop:
After the blinds both checked, Carlisle pushed forward 3,500 and was immediately called by Dang. The other three players folded and the turn card was revealed.
Turn:
Carlisle again showed aggression and tossed out a single 5,000 chip which received another speedy call from Dang.
River:
Carlisle slowed down on the river and checked it to Dang. After a brief pause, Dang made eye contact with the dealer and said two words. "All in."
Carlisle showed his displeasure with his immediate reaction. Carlisle started loudly talking to himself and started saying what he should have done or could have done to win the hand. He continued to go over the current situation and was really picking it apart. Suddenly Carlisle turned over his cards and exposed for a flopped two pair. He continued to mutter something about a flush but kept his right hand over his cards to show he wasn't folding yet. Finally he sighed loudly and literally threw his stack into the middle.
Dang appeared shocked by the tank call and said, "Good call." as he turned over only the and threw his cards into the muck. As Carlisle stacked up his new chips that he was obviously proud to have earned, he made sure the PokerNews team knew his name was Damien "aka King" Carlisle.
