The sixth day of the 2020 PokerStars Spring Championship of Online Poker (SCOOP) will provide the second five-digit buy-in of the series in SCOOP Event #24-H: $10,300 NLHE High Roller as of 1 p.m. Eastern Standard Time (EST), which will be played in an eight-max format. Some of the biggest names of the offline and online poker world are expected to battle for yet another SCOOP title and their share of the $1,000,000 guarantee.

Fewer than 24 hours ago the first five-figure buy-in wrapped up as Artur "mararthur1" Martirosyan denied Fedor "CrownUpGuy" Holz a second SCOOP title and claimed his own maiden victory of the flagship online poker series. Both are very likely to take another shot today along with many of those that were in action in Event 17-H: $10,300 NLHE High Roller the previous two days.

The structure is slightly deeper than the predecessor with 18 levels of 20 minutes each followed by 30-minute levels for the remainder of the tournament. All participants receive 250,000 in chips and can re-enter up to two times during the registration period, which lasts for five hours and five minutes of play. For each one hour of play, the initial 60-second time bank will be topped up by another 10 seconds.

A champion won't be crowned today as the tournament is scheduled to conclude for Day 1 as soon as the money bubble has been burst and the remaining contenders then return the following day at 1 p.m. EST.

The PokerNews team will be there from start to finish and provide conclusive updates of the high stakes action.

Full Double for "makeboifin"

makeboifin doubles through Lena900
makeboifin doubles through Lena900

Orpen "OrpTheTurk" Kisacikoglu opened the action with a raise to 6,000 and "makeboifin" three-bet. Niklas "Lena900" Astedt four-bet and then called the five-bet jam of "makeboifin.

Astedt was trailing with {k-Spades}{k-Hearts} against the {a-Spades}{a-Clubs} of "makeboifin" and found no help on a {3-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{2-Spades}{6-Clubs} board. The Swede had previously scooped a pot against Juan "Malaka$tyle" Pardo and remained short after the hand.

Zhou and Delgado Jam Up Their Stacks

Level 1 : 1,200/2,400, 300 ante

Another two early hands brought al all-in, however, this time no call followed. Chun Lei "samrostan" Zhou had pushed Andras "probirs" Nemeth out of the pot and the next to chip up was Vicente "vicenfish" Delgado against "iamivar.

In a battle of the blinds, Delgado limp-raised from 7,200 to 28,800 and was called by "iamivar" to see a flop of {k-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{7-Spades}, on which Delgado continued for 19,701. He was called and the second barrel on the {k-Hearts} turn was worth 55,200, a call by "iamivar" followed. The Spaniard ultimately jammed the {7-Diamonds} river and his opponent folded after using a portion of his time bank.

New Entries and a Bustout

Level 1 : 1,200/2,400, 300 ante
Lena900 eliminated by Malaka$tyle
Lena900 eliminated by Malaka$tyle

A fourth table has opened as 26 players are registered towards the end of the fourth level.

Niklas "Lena900" Astedt has become the first casualty of the day when he got the remainder of his short stack of just above 10 big blinds in with {a-Diamonds}{6-Clubs} out of the big blind and was called by Juan "Malaka$tyle" Pardo out of the small blind with the {a-Spades}{j-Hearts}.

The board came {q-Spades}{5-Spades}{3-Clubs}{k-Hearts}{q-Diamonds} and that spelled the end for the Swede on his first of three possible bullets.

Botteon Bests Gieles

Level 2 : 1,400/2,800, 350 ante

Brunno "botteonpoker" Botteon limped in from the small blind and called a raise by Luuk "pokerkluka" Gieles in the big blind to see a {k-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{2-Clubs} flop, on which both players checked. They did so again on the {a-Clubs} turn and Botteon bet the {6-Hearts} river or 14,616. Gieles made the call and mucked to the {10-Clubs}{9-Hearts} of Botteon.

In the meanwhile, Wiktor "limitless" Malinowski and Adrian "Amadi_17" Mateos have entered the fray to boost the field up to 28 entries in the second level of the day.

Greenwood Doubles "Black88"; Busts to Pardo

Level 2 : 1,400/2,800, 350 ante
Black88 doubles
Black88 doubles

Sam "Str8$$$Homey" Greenwood had been very active early on and boosted his stack up slightly. He then raised to 6,720 in the hijack and was called by "Black88" in the cutoff, which led to the {9-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{6-Spades} flop. Greenwood continued for 12,600 and called a raise to 33,860 in order to see the {8-Clubs} on the turn.

Greenwood now bet again, making it 21,865 to go, which was called by "Black88". The {k-Hearts} on the river brought the shove of Greenwood with the covering stack and he was called by "Black88" with the {10-Spades}{9-Spades} for a ten-high straight. Greenwood only had {j-Hearts}{j-Spades} for a pair of jacks and was reduced to a short stack.

The Canadian was all-in three hands later with {a-Spades}{7-Clubs} and Juan "Malaka$tyle" Pardo dealt the final blow with {a-Clubs}{k-Spades} on a {k-Clubs}{4-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} runout.
