Ten minutes were left for Level 24: 17,500/35,000 with a 4,500 ante, and play was paused on Day 1 of the PokerStars 2020 SCOOP-33-M: $1,050 NLHE Thursday Thrill with 82 players still in the field. The total field reached 1,350 entries and the $1,000,000 guaranteed was smashed with $1,350,000 finally collected in the prize pool.

After almost 24 levels of play on Day 1, it was Canada's "TTWIST" that took the chip lead with 4,997,226, while he already earned $6,969 through bounties. Following on his tail, "Kurtkaare" bagged 4,429,168 chips and he is the bounty leader of the event after Day 1, with $8,188 in total bounties. "julianpineda" rounds up the top three countes with 4,324,596 as the only three players that are over four million chips.

Other familiar names that managed to advance to Day 2 are Scott "Aggro Santos" Margereson, Joao "Naza114" Vieira, David "MissOracle" Yan, Julian "HealTheWorld" Thomas, Pascal "Pass_72" Lefrancois, Stefan "CrAzY_sTeFaN" Piele Dragos, Henri "buehlero" Buehler, Andras "probirs" Nemeth, Gleb "Ti0373" Tremzin, Dietrich "2pacnrw16" Fast, and Thomas "WushuTM" Muehloecker.

On the other side, many well-known players didn't manage to build their stacks in order to return tomorrow, and busted through the course of the day. Among those that hit the rail during Day 1 after the bubble burst were Michael "M_Acevedo" Acevedo, Joshua "slayerv1fan" Hoesel, Sebastian "sebasnato" Toro, Dominik "Bounatirou" Nitsche, Andrey "ThePateychuk" Pateychuk, Thiago "KKremate" Crema, Sami "Lrslzk" Kelopuro, and Anatoly "nl_profit" Filatov.

The bubble period lasted only two hands, as "42ayay" shoved his last fifteen big blinds from middle position with tens, only for "neeno1990" to wake up in the big blind with kings and send his opponent out of the field, one seat away from the payouts.

"42ayay" Eliminated on the Bubble

The 82 remaining players have already secured $1,705 and they will play on Friday, May 8th for the first place prize of $89,119 plus the bounties and the glory of obtaining a SCOOP title. When they will return, they will finish Level 24 which has a small blind of 17,500, big blind of 35,000 and a running ante of 4,500.
