While all attention as far as $10K PokerStars Spring Championship of Online Poker events goes will be on the $5 million guaranteed Main Event, all of the players who missed out on that final table were busy trying to make their way through other events. One such event: SCOOP-79-H: $10,300 NLHE [8-Max, High Roller], $1M Gtd, which has seen 13 players advance into the money and into Day 2.

Tops among them at this point is Juan "Malaka$tyle" Pardo, bringing 4.2 million in at 17,500/35,000/4,500.

A star-studded field of opponents awaits him.

Sitting in second: high-stakes cash end boss Linus "LLinusLLove" Loeliger with 3.6 million. Some of the most successful players from this SCOOP have also made appearances, including Jorryt "TheCleaner11" van Hoof off his early heater and $25K winner Steve "Mr. Tim Caum" O'Dwyer.

However, none are perhaps more notable at this point than Conor "blanconegro" Drinan, who has grabbed an unprecedented five titles in this series and is right in the middle of the chip counts.

Play resumes just over an hour from now, with $241,957 up top and $22,260 locked up for 13th.

Ryhor Karapanau

Jorryt "TheCleaner11" van Hoof opened for 78,750 in the cutoff and Ryhor "Grisha813" Karapanau defended the big blind.

Karapanau checked the {6-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{9-Hearts} and faced a bet of 52,850. He check-raised to 210,700. Van Hoof clicked back to 368,550 and Karapanau shoved for 802,804.

Karapanau: {10-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}
van Hoof: {q-Hearts}{q-Clubs}

Van Hoof was fading just two immediate outs and running eights kept the queens best.

"EEE27" Dodges Elimination

Level 20 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante

"EEE27" shoved for 573K in the cutoff over a hijack open from Pascal "Pass_72" Lefrancois on his right. Lefrancois called with {k-Spades}{q-Diamonds} and a chop appeared imminent as EEE27 had {k-Clubs}{q-Spades}. However, three diamonds flopped for a mighty sweat, but EEE27 did escape with a chop.

Eibinger Busted on Nasty Beat

Level 20 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante
Matthias Eibinger
Matthias Eibinger

Matthias "iambest2" Eibinger opened to 84,000 on the button and called for just over 1 million when Juan "Malaka$tyle" Pardo shoved on his left.

Eibinger: {a-Hearts}{9-Hearts}
Pardo: {a-Clubs}{2-Clubs}

The {q-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{j-Diamonds} was a nice flop for Eibinger, but the {2-Diamonds} turn left him in need on the river. An {a-Diamonds} wasn't the right sort of improvement and he bowed out in 12th.

Dubs for Reeves and Padilha

Level 20 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante

Two shorter-stacked players just got it in but both survived.

Pedro "PaDiLhA SP" Padilha got in a raising war with Linus "LLinusLLove" Loeliger on {6-Spades}{9-Clubs}{j-Clubs} after flatting a raise out of the small blind, and his {a-Clubs}{j-Diamonds} was flipping against {k-Clubs}{10-Clubs}. Black cards hit on the turn and river but they were the {7-Spades} and {5-Spades} and Padilha got a double worth 1.3 million.

At the other table, Luke "Bit2Easy" Reeves three-bet shoved for 783,783 with {j-Diamonds}{j-Clubs} but ran into the {a-Diamonds}{a-Clubs} of Simon "simon1471" Higgins. Fortunately for Reeves, he flopped a third jack to avoid elimination.

Big miss for "EEE27."

"EEE27" shoved for 533,504 on the button with {10-Spades}{8-Spades} and Juan "Malaka$tyle" Pardo woke up with {a-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds} for a quick call out of the big blind.

The {7-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{5-Spades} flop brought a world of outs for EEE27, and the {9-Hearts} turn even more, but the board paired with the {7-Diamonds} river.

River Saves Loeliger

Level 20 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante

Linus "LLinusLLove" Loeliger raised and four-bet all in for about 1.1 million against big blind Pascal "Pass_72" Lefrancois, who called with {10-Spades}{10-Clubs}. He looked poised for an elimination as the board ran {j-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}, missing Loeliger's {a-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}, until an {a-Spades} river arrived.
