Double up For Veldhuis

Level 5 : 600/1,200, 150 ante

Lex "L. Veldhuis" Veldhuis opened for 2,460 from the hijack and was 3-bet to 7,320 by Lonnie "thx4urm0n3y" Hallett. Veldhuis responded by going all in for 54,680 and Hallet quickly made the call.

Veldhuis: {j-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}
Hallett: {9-Spades}{9-Clubs}

Hallett was well behind and the {10-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{6-Clubs} flop was of no help.

The {j-Hearts} on the turn sealed the double for Veldhuis and a meaningless {a-Diamonds} fell on the river, leaving Hallet with just 26,367 left.

Grafton Gives it Up

Level 5 : 600/1,200, 150 ante
Sam Grafton
Sam Grafton

"Fear1sWisdom" opened to 2,700 from middle position and Sam "SamSquid" Grafton 3-bet to 9,600 in the hijack. Action folded to "anonymstruts" on the button, who cold 4-bet to 22,200. Action folded back around to Grafton, who made the call.

Grafton check-called a 12,600 bet from "anonymstruts" on the {j-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{6-Spades} flop.

The turn brought the {10-Clubs} and Grafton checked again, only to face an all-in from "anonymstruts" for 72,275, which was more than enough to put Grafton all in. After some thought, Grafton relented and "anonymstruts" took the pot.

Shakerchi Snags an Early Lead

Level 1 : 250/500, 60 ante

Action folded around to the small blind, where BenArfaa10 completed, only to see Talal "raidalot" Shakerchi raise to 1,750 from the big. BenArfaa10 responded by re-raising to 6,000 and Shakerchi made the call.

The flop came {2-Hearts}{6-Spades}{j-Spades} and "BenArfaa10" continued for 4,000. Shakerchi responded by raising to 12,576, which BenArfaa10 called.

The turn brought the {4-Hearts} and "BenArfaa10" check-called a 15,780 bet from Shakerchi.

The river fell a {6-Hearts} and "BenArfaa10" once again check-called, this time for 36,640. Shakerchi showed down {q-Hearts}{q-Clubs}, which was enough to take down the pot and snag an early tournament chip lead.
