Day 2 of SCOOP 01-H: $215 NLHE [Phase 2], $2M GTD Begins Today

The Spring Championship of Online Poker (SCOOP) will continue today with a healthy line-up slated for the viewers, one tournament returning for Day 2 is SCOOP 01-H: $215 [Phase 2], $2M GTD which will return at 2:15 p.m. EST.

The Phase tournament saw 10,813 sign up over the span of all of Day 1's and just 1,111 are set to start today. Blinds will be starting at 3,500/7,000 with an 825 ante and all levels will be 15-minutes in length throughout. The second day will play down until only 27 are left and then all will bag up for Day 3 tomorrow April 28 at 2:15 p.m. EST.

Leading the way into Day 2 is Joao "joaovbarb" Barbosa with a 1,186,721 stack and is the only player above the one million threshold. Team PokerStars ambassador Sam "SamSquid" Grafton is still in contention, having a healthy-sized stack of 687,146. Both will be in the field clawing at a shot for a piece of the $2,162,600 prize pool.

Early Pot Extends the Lead for Barbosa

Palma Finds a River to Grab the Sugar

"ptje-paniek" opened from the hijack to 15,400, Jeiko "JEIK0" Palma called on the button and "Kohlrabi7" defended their big blind. The flop rolled out and two taps brought a 7,000 bet from Palma.

"ptje-paniek" was the only player to check-call and a peeled off. Action checked to Palma, he bet 14,000 and "ptje-paniek" then check-raised to 53,620. Palma called and the river saw "ptje"paniek" shove 134,365.

"EduardoLTZ" raised to 14,000 from middle position and Fintan "EasyWithAces" Hand called in the small blind to see a flop. "EduardoLTZ" saw action check to them and a 14,000 bet came out.

Hand check-raised to 45,500 and "EduardoLTZ" called. A turn had Hand tap to "EduardoLTZ" who quickly jammed 191,091 and Hand check-called for less, putting in 131,295.

A flop landed after the Canadian stuck in a call and he then check-called a bet of 47,364. The had Talbot check-call a bet of 124,000 from "polloymedio" and a completed the board.
