Table of Death For Team PokerStars' Ramon Colillas

Ramon Colillas' table of death!
Ramon Colillas' table of death!

Soft tables are as rare as hen's teeth at any stage of the $10,300 No-Limit Hold'em SCOOP Main Event, but even more so when only 23 players remain. Ramon "RamonColillas" Colillas is Team PokerStars' lone representative in the final stages of this huge tournament, and his table is as stacked as it can get.

Current chip leader Juanki "B4NKR0LL3R" Vecino and second in chips Vyacheslav "VbV1990" Buldygin have position on the Spaniard, while Sergio "zcedrick" Aido and Peter "pitaoufmg" Patricio are to his immediate left.

If that wasn't bad enough, Dominik "Bounatirou" Nitsche is also present at the Colillas' table.

So far, Colillas is more than holding his own. He is 11th in chips with 23 players remaining. He and everyone else are guaranteed $46,797, but with $948,433 up top, nobody will want to claim that sum.

Wistern Flying High in the $109 NLHE SCOOP Main Event

Lasse Jagd Lauritsen
Lasse Jagd Lauritsen

Team PokerStars' Lasse Jagd Lauritsen, better known as "Wistern" returned to Day 3 of the $109 NLHE Main Event in the middle of the pack, his stack placing him 88th from 158 returning players. The tournament is currently on a scheduled break, and the field has been whittled to a more manageable 41 hopefuls. Wistern finds himself in 11th place, having improved his stack to 17,644,714 chips from the 2,7982,242 he started Day 3 with.

He now has $2,688 locked in, with $241,169 awaiting the eventual champion.

Dominik Nitsche
Dominik Nitsche

Dominik "Bounatirou" Nitsche will not win the 2024 SCOOP $10,300 NLHE Main Event because he just crashed out at the hands of Vyacheslav "VbV1990" Buldygin.

Nitsche's AJ didn't get there against Buldygin's dominating AK, with the five community cards running out249210.

Nitsche is gone, but Buldygin is now the chip leader with 19 players remaining.

The hand after Nitsche's demise, Ramon "RamonColillas" Colillas moved all-in preflop and won the blinds and antes. Colillas' stack has dwindled to 2,658,100 chips, and he finds himself 17th from 19 players.

Lefrancois Refuses to Give Up

Pascal Lefrancois
Pascal Lefrancois

Pascal "Pass_72" Lefrancois is heads-up with Mike "SirWatts" Watson in the $5,200 PLO Main Event. At one stage, Lefrancois trailed his fellow Canadian by five-to-one, but he has just doubled up and is back in contention for the title.

All the chips went onto the middle on an 8K2 flop, with Watson holding AAJ7 and needing some help, as Lefrancois held K843 for the top two pair. The J turn took away some of Watson's outs, and the 4 river was a brick. Lefrancois doubled through Watson and is now less than a two-to-one dog in this fight.

Seventh Heaven For Mateos; Takes Down $25K Super High Roller

Adrian Mateos
Adrian Mateos

Spain's Adrian "Amadi_017" Mateos is celebrating the seventh SCOOP victory of his illustrious career after he came out on top in the SCOOP 120-H: $25,000 NLHE Super High Roller. Mateos outlasted 68 opponents to claim $456,747 of the $1,692,225 prize pool.

Mateos defeated Kahle "ROFLshove" Burns heads-up, resigning the UK-based Australian to a $342,103 consolation prize.

The final hand saw the pot build on an 872 flop, Mateos raising Burns' bet and Burns calling. Both players checked the 4 turn before Burns checked the 10 river. Mateos moved all-in, and Burns called off less than a pot-sized bet.

Mateos revealed A6 for a flush, crushing the Q10 of Burns.

Wistern Bows Out of the $109 NLHE Main Event

Lasse Jagd Lauritsen
Lasse Jagd Lauritsen

Team PokerStars' Lasse "Wistern" Jagd Lauritsen is done and dusted in SCOOP 115-L: $109 NLHE Main Event despite getting the last of his chips in as a favorite.

Wistern three-bet all-in for less than ten big blinds after Andreas "mrAndreeew" Berggren had min-raised. Berggren called and it was K4 for the Swede against the ace-jack of the Team PokerStars Pro. Two clubs on the flop and another on the turn left Wistern drawing dead, and he was eliminated in 23rd place for $4,150 after outlasting almost all of the 23,616 entrants.

Twenty-two players remain, and Berggren leads them all with 56,224,801 chips.

Lefrancois Completes an Impressive Comeback to Win the $5K PLO Main Event

Pascal Lefrancois
Pascal Lefrancois

Canada's Pascal "Pass_72" Lefrancois is now a three-time SCOOP champion after staging an impressive comeback to defeat Mike "SirWatts" Watson heads-up in SCOOP 117-H: $5,200 PLO 6-Max Main Event. Lefrancois was 5-to-1 down against Watson at one stage of the one-on-one encounter but doubled up, pushed into the lead, and never looked back.

The tournament drew in 121 entrants who created a $605,000 prize pool. $132,607 of that sum is now nestled in the PokerStars account of Lefrancois, and deservedly so. For Watson, he missed out on what would have been an eighth career SCOOP title, although the $99,951 he banked for his bridesmaid finish will go some way to numbing the pain.

Huber and Lococo Start Strongly in the Super Tuesday

Sebastian Huber
Sebastian Huber

Two Team PokerStars Pros have started strongly in their respective Super Tuesday SCOOP events.

Sebastian "peace&loove" Huber is currently 10th in chips, with a 598,990 stack, in the $215 buy-in edition, while Alejandro "[Papo]AR" Lococo is in the middle of the pack in the $1,050 edition with 337,235 chips from his 100,000 starting stack.

There's a long way to go in both events, but the early signs are promising for the red spade-sporting stars.

Colillas Crashes Out of the $10K NLHE Main Event

Ramon Colillas
Ramon Colillas

The SCOOP Main Event dream is over for Ramon "RamonColillas" Colillas, who has just crashed out of SCOOP 115-H: $10,300 NLHE Main Event in 13th place for $58,642.

Colillas had been playing the role of sort-stacked ninja to perfection, biding his time for a spot to double up and claw his way back into contention. He thought that the time had come when he looked down at QQ and raised to 2,000,000, leaving only 32,000 chips behind. Peter "pitaoufmg" Patricio three-bet to 7,000,000 to isolate the Stars Pro, and Colillas called off the less than an ante he had behind.

Patricio turned over AK, and it was off to the races for Colillas. Unfortunately, he fell on the K44 flop. The 2 turn was followed by the 8 river, and like that, Colillas was gone.

Some 23,616 PokerStars players entered SCOOP 115-L: $109 NLHE Main Event but only nine of those starters have made it through to the fourth and final day's play, where someone will claim a $241,169 top prize.

As things stand, the ball is in the court of Germany's "Tom1006," who has 153,913,731 chips, one of only two finalists with a nine-figure stack. "RisingStarXZ" is the other; they have 135,939,905 chips.
