Day 1b Started
The $1,000 Seneca Fall Poker Classic Main Event kicked off yesterday in Niagara Falls, New York. The $200,000 guaranteed prize pool attracted 99 total entries on Day 1a, and Joe Ciffa led the 23 survivors who advanced to Day 2 on Sunday.
Day 1b kicks off at 11 a.m. this morning and we're expecting a bigger field for the weekend flight. Among the players already confirmed for today are Nick Walker, Travell Thomas and defending champion Andy Spears, all of whom played on Friday but failed to advance.
Registration and re-entries will be open until the start of level 10 (after the dinner break). Each player will begin with 30,000 in chips and levels will last 45 minutes.
Play begins in about 25 minutes to keep your browsers locked here for updates throughout the day!
Day 1b is off and running. Today's plan is to play 13 45-minute levels with a 60-minute dinner break in between. The day will wrap at around 10:40 p.m. ET.

Randy Pfiefer was the fist player eliminated from today's event after being the victim of a cooler spot in the blinds.
Dave Grana opened from the button, Pfeifer three-bet from the small blind and Sam Guercio flatted from the big blind. Grana four-bet, and then Pfeifer moved all in. Guercio reshoved, and Grana paused for about 30 seconds before releasing.

Guercio's kings were best and the board sent Pfeifer back to the cage to re-enter.
