Welcome to the Seneca Fall Poker Classic Main Event!
Welcome back to PokerNews' coverage of the 2014 Seneca Fall Poker Classic. For almost a week now, players have been flocking to the Seneca Niagara Casino and Hotel for this annual series. Today marks the climax as the $1,000 No-Limit Hold'em Main Event will get underway. This no-limit hold'em event is open to players 18 and up and boasts a $200,000 guaranteed prize pool.
The Main Event is a two-day event with two Day 1 starting flights and unlimited re-entries. Players will be allowed to enter and re-enter through the first nine levels. Each player will begin with 30,000 in chips.
We're expecting many of the area's top players to compete for the title in this one, including D.J. MacKinnon, Travell Thomas, Dan Wagner, Buck Ramsay, and defending champ Andy Spears who last year bested a field of 149 to win the $52,410 top prize.
Siavash Banai, who won Event #3 of the Seneca Fall Poker Classic last night, will also be playing in this event. Banai has made back-to-back final tables in this series and will look to make his third in a row in the Main Event.
Play kicks off at 11 a.m. and we will be here providing all of the latest from the tournament floor. Stay tuned!
