Day 1b Started
The survivors from the 11 a.m. Flight A have bagged and tagged for the day, and now it's time for the evening crowd to take their shot at a guaranteed $50,000 prize pool in Event #5. Tonight's plan is the same as Flight A: Play will end at the conclusion of 12 30-minute levels or when only 12% of the field in the flight remains. Each player begins with 15,000 in chips and registration and re-entries will be open until the start of Level 9.
We'll be providing complete coverage of each starting flight, so stay tuned right here at PokerNews.com!

Joe Ciffa, who won two events already in the 2014 Summer Slam, spent part of the day here in the Seneca Poker Room but he decided to take a day off from tournaments and play cash games instead. As he made his way to the cage to cash in his chips, he received a lot of congratulations from dealers and players and even got a reminder that he can't win a tournament today since this is a four-day event.
"i'm not playing today anyway," he responded with a smile.
