Reyes Doubles ... But Doesn't Realize It

Level 19 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante
Kevin Reyes
Kevin Reyes

Kevin Reyes moved all in for 71,000 from early position and Alex Visbisky re-shoved from the small blind. The big blind folded, and the hands were turned up.

Reyes: {K-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}
Visbisky: {A-Hearts}{K-Clubs}

The dealer rolled out a {9-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{7-Clubs} board, and Reyes got up from the table and started gathering his things. He didn't realize he had the winning pair of nines.

"You won," the dealer told Reyes.

"Oh! I didn't even see the nine!" Reyes responded. And he sat back down.

Despite Reyes' best efforts get get out of here, we're still 11-handed.
