The sixth and final starting flight for this third event on the 2015 Seneca Fall Poker Classic schedule drew 161 entries at the Niagara Falls Poker Room inside the Seneca Niagara Resort & Casino today.
From there, just 33 made it through to the final day of this $50,000 Guaranteed $100 No-Limit Hold'em event, adding to the 87 from the first five flights to make for a total of 120 heading into the 11 a.m. local start time Thursday — Although that number will be smaller, considering some players may have bagged twice and will take only their best stack forward..
A total of 595 entries forced the Niagara Falls Poker Room to dip into the fees to cover a $2,480 overlay and get the prize pool up to the $50,000 guarantee, but they were only too happy to give a little boost to local poker economy. They will pay 45 spots total and the winner gets a nice trophy, PokerNews glory and an $11,750 first-place prize that amounts to a whole lot for a $100 buy-in.
Another nine players built six-figure stacks out of this flight, but it was a massive hand in the last few minutes that put local legend Andy Spears in top position for the flight, and overall.
The 2013 Seneca Fall Poker Classic Main Event champ registered at the last minute and managed to win a 270,000-chip pot with against the all in preflop in the last minute of play, with a third player also putting in heaps and folding.

James Miller has jumped in the lead on 120,000 now.
First he made trip sixes on an ace-high board, getting all of one over-eager player's stack with . Soon after, he got it in with on a jack-high flop with two diamonds versus Bruce Pace.
He said he was banking on Pace having a speculative hand, which is usually a good bet. When he was wrong and Pace had , Miller was forced to rely on the turn to make two pair and double up into the top spot on the chip counts.
Niagara Falls, NY local Josh Deskovic has vaulted to the top of the chip counts now, after winning a huge three-way all-in pot.
He had versus and , and even though the money went in when flopped aces up, a on the river ensured the pot would go to Deskovic.
In the meantime, both Bruce Pace and Marvin Baker continue to accumulate, with the latter picking up 20,000 after flopping a gutshot versus two pair and hitting it on the turn.
Nobody builds stacks in the tournaments at Seneca like Bruce Pace does. Unfortunately, no one blows them up quite like he does either.
Tonight's spectacle starts with Pace taking the chip lead into the break on triple the starting stack after getting it in with on a jack high flop against .
Pace nailed the river to make two pair, sink the ladies, and leap up to 45,000. This should be fun to watch.
