$100 No-Limit Hold'em

Day 1f Started

Day 1f of the 2015 Seneca Fall Poker Classic $100 No-Limit Hold'em Starts Now!

You've got to know when to hold 'em, fold 'em, walk away and run as the sixth and final starting flight for the third event on the 2015 Seneca Fall Poker Classic schedule kicks off inside the Niagara Falls Poker Room this evening.

Set at a price-point designed to attract top local rounders, recreational players and even people lost on their way to the Tim Horton's, this $100 buy-in $50,000 guaranteed, multiple starting flight, multiple re-entry event promises to be full of action, as players fire away all night in their last chance at a big score for a small price.

They will get 15,000 chips at the start and must play through fourteen 20-minute levels, or until 12 per cent of the starting field remains, to push through to Thursday's second and final day. A total of 87 players are already there from the first five flights this week, with Day 1d chip leader Pat Tighe and his 238,300-chip stack leading right now.

Registration and unlimited re-entry is available through the start of Level 9 and even if they have already bagged chips, players can get in tonight, taking their best stack forward.

The Niagara Falls Poker Room's reputation for laying its guarantees to waste is on the line right now, currently needing 192 entries to get there, which should make for a big field and a ton of action tonight as they sweat it out.

PokerNews will of course be on hand for it all, continuing at 6 p.m. local time, and you're welcome to follow along right here.

Marvin Baker
Marvin Baker

New York City, NY's Marvin Baker grabbed an early double up.

The University of Buffalo student got his full stack in on the end with chips flying on all three streets after his {3-Hearts}{3-Clubs} smashed the {3-Spades}{5-Clubs}{2-Spades} flop against another player's {6-Spades}{4-Spades} straight with the flush redraw.

Things got good for Baker when he filled up on the {2-Clubs} turn, and he faded the one outer when the {5-Spades} did not fall on the river giving his opponent the straight flush.

Bruce Pace
Bruce Pace

Nobody builds stacks in the tournaments at Seneca like Bruce Pace does. Unfortunately, no one blows them up quite like he does either.

Tonight's spectacle starts with Pace taking the chip lead into the break on triple the starting stack after getting it in with {j-}{9-} on a jack high flop against {q-}{q-}.

Pace nailed the {9-} river to make two pair, sink the ladies, and leap up to 45,000. This should be fun to watch.
