Lu Leads Into The Last Break

Level 13 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante
Yi-Wei Lu
Yi-Wei Lu

The remaining players are off on the final ten minute break of the night and will return to play two more 40-minute levels before bagging up.

Yi-Wei Lu takes the lead into this break, after busting yet another player.

They got it all in preflop with Lu on {a-}{k-} and this opponent holding {10-}{10-}. Just one pair would have done the trick for Lu, but he made two.

Ciffa On The Come

Level 13 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

Steve Calvaneso kept shoving. It worked every time, until the last one, when Joe Ciffa finally called.

Calvaneso held {a-Spades}{10-Clubs} this time, but would need a lot of help against Ciffa's {q-Spades}{q-Clubs}. He got none from a flop that made Ciffa a set and said his goodbyes early.

Pfeifer Finished

Level 13 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

Randy Pfeifer gave back the double up he got from James Miller, running jacks into his aces.

He survived longer than most with his short stack, but eventually ran deuces into 'Buffalo' Ray Williams' {a-Diamonds}{k-Spades}. Williams flopped aces up and turned a boat to sink Pfeifer.

Running Out Of Customers

Level 13 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante
Buck Ramsay
Buck Ramsay

Buck Ramsay just hit the 300,000 mark, busting Mike Rellinger in the process.

Ramsay opened, Thinh Bui flatted and Rellinger shoved the small blind for less than 40,000. Ramsay slid out all his red T10,000 chips and Bui folded.

Ramsay: {j-Hearts}{j-Spades}
Rellinger: {a-Hearts}{9-Hearts}

Rellinger got up to walk away, but that old trick did not work, as the board rolled out {j-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{5-Spades}{7-Clubs}{6-Clubs}, leaving him dead on the turn.

"Keep this up and you're going to run out of customers," Bui said with a smile.

The Buck Doesn't Stop Here

Level 12 : 800/1,600, 200 ante
Buck Ramsay
Buck Ramsay

Buck Ramsay is back on top after winning another 45,000-plus without showdown moments ago.

The hand started with a bet of 4,000 under the gun plus one. The button flatted before Joseph Elia made it 11,500 from the small blind. Ramsay then made it 20,000 total from the big blind and after one fold, two players called.

The flop came {j-Spades}{5-Spades}{2-Diamonds} and Ramsay led for 17,000. The button folded and Elias painfully tank-folded as well.

Lu Can't Lose

Level 12 : 800/1,600, 200 ante
Yi-Wei Lu
Yi-Wei Lu

James Miller made it 4,800 under the gun. Yi-Wei Lu flatted the button and Ronny D'Grillo bumped it to 10,900 from the big blind.

Miller and Lu both called sending them three ways to a {q-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{5-Clubs} flop. D'Grillo led for 4,000 and after Miller folded, Lu put in 15,000.

D'Grillo shoved for 34,000 total and Lu snap-called with the {k-Diamonds}{q-Spades}. D'Grillo had the {j-Clubs}{j-Diamonds} and hit the exits when the {k-Clubs} turn and {10-Spades} river only improved Lu.

With that big pot, Lu is now on top and quickly separating from the pack.

James Gets Randy; Randy Gets James

Level 11 : 600/1,200, 200 ante
James Miller
James Miller

James Miller was rolling right along here, up to 145,000 in chips, when he ran into Randy Pfeifer.

Miller three-bet the button and Pfeifer shoved the big blind for a little over 40,000. Miller called with {7-Diamonds}{7-Spades} and Pfeifer was flipping for his tournament life on {a-Spades}{k-Spades}.

Pfeifer got there and more on the {k-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{3-Spades}{k-Clubs}{q-Diamonds} run out to double through, inch up close to 100,000 and leave Miller right there.

Ramsay Leads!

Level 11 : 600/1,200, 200 ante
Buck Ramsay
Buck Ramsay

Buck Ramsay raised it up with aces and got five callers, going six ways to a nine-high flop with two diamonds.

It checked to the button, who open-shoved all in for 40,000 and Ramsay was the only caller. He had the {9-}{7-} top pair and Ramsay's aces held when the board bricked out.

This latest gift now sees Ramsay become the first to crest the 200,000-chip mark and move into the lead.
