A Jack For The Crack

Level 6 : 200/400, 50 ante

Mandeep Chahal led out from late position and was the only caller when one opponent three-bet preflop. He then called a 5,000-chip bet on the {7-Spades}{J-Diamonds}{5-Clubs} flop.

The turn brought the {3-Diamonds} and Chahal's opponent shipped it in. Chahal called instantly with {J-Spades}{J-Clubs} having cracked his opponent's {a-Diamonds}{a-Spades}. The {q-Diamonds} river brought no joy for the aces and Chahal doubled up into a spot among the leaders.

In A New York Minute

Level 6 : 200/400, 50 ante

Popular Seneca Niagara regular Alicia LaPorte Pachla was off to a fine start here at Summer Slam, having just about doubled her starting stack.

Fortunes change fast in this game, however, and Pachla is now clinging to a short stack having got it all in preflop with {k-}{k-} versus {q-}{q-}. A queen in the window as enough to leave her lacking.

Seven-Deuce Game

Level 7 : 250/500, 50 ante

Alicia LaPorte Pachla just turned the worst starting hand in poker into a full double up and the start of an epic comeback.

She shipped the last of her stack in on the river of a {5-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{8-Clubs} board and when her heads-up opponent made the call, he was disappointed to see her turn over {7-Spades}{2-Diamonds}.

Trips were good and Pachla has close to a starting stack again without having to re-enter.

The Rich Get Richer

Level 7 : 250/500, 50 ante

The big stacks continue to dominate play here into the day's seventh level.

[Removed:339] was one of two callers when one opponent shoved in for almost 10,000 chips on a {10-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{6-Hearts} flop. The {8-Spades} turn brought a shove from [Removed:340] and a fold from the third player. [Removed:340]'s all-in opponent held {k-}{10-}, but it was no good against his {10-}{7-} and turned straight. The river bricked.

In the meantime, one table over, Kristan Mackiewicz straightened out on the river to continue crushing and bust another foe.

Swing Low

Level 8 : 300/600, 75 ante

Seneca standout Cameron Bartolotta is on the upswing right now, having just pushed past the 30,000-chip post.

He dragged a fairly sizable pot getting paid off when he value-bet 3,500 on the river of a {3-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{j-Spades} board holding {a-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}.

The nut flush was good.
