Break!

Level 9 : 300/600, 75 ante

The players are off on a 15-minute break as the tournament staff colors up and removes the 25 denomination chips.

Bombs Away!

Level 9 : 300/600, 75 ante

After firing multiple bullets into the day's first flight to no avail, Canadian Scott Aitchison is finding some success tonight.

He was recently see firing 3,000 chips heads-up into a dry side pot with one player all in and 15,000 in the middle on a {5-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{6-Spades} flop. His opponent called, but let it go when Aitchison threw 5,000 more at the {7-Spades} turn.

The all-in player turned over {a-Spades}{k-Hearts}, but Aitchison's {8-Hearts}{8-Clubs} held after the river bricked.

Pachla Punks The T-Meister

Level 8 : 250/500, 50 ante

Alicia LaPorte Pachla is officially off the shneid and in chip leading position now.

She cracked aces with pocket tens and has been abusing local rounder Travell Thomas for most of the evening while building a contending stack.

She even made a set against him and just busted another player after picking up aces of her own.

"This girl is on fire," she exclaimed.

Bohen Bets; Cutoff Busts

Level 8 : 250/500, 50 ante

After joining the small blind in checking a three-way pot on a {q-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{Q-Spades} flop, Dan Bohen joined him in calling a 3,000-chip bet from the cutoff.

All three players checked the {6-Clubs} turn, but when the small blind checked the {4-Diamonds} river, Bohen bet 7,000. The cutoff called all in for less, but was disappointed when the small blind mucked and Bowen showed {5-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}, having rivered a flush.

The cutoff mucked on his way out the door.

Reid on the River

Level 7 : 200/400, 50 ante
Jonathan Reid
Jonathan Reid

Lockport, NY's Jonathan Reid has made two boats, one with {k-}{2-} the other holding {5-}{5-} on an {a-}{10-}{5-}{9-}{10-} board versus a willing shover with {a-}{k-}.

He's now up among the bigger stacks in the room and rolling.

Sal Guercio
Sal Guercio

Sal Guercio, who actually bubbled Event #1 on the Summer Slam schedule, chopping 54th place money with an empty chair, is the chip leader here heading into the break.

He's hit two sets and made a full house over the nut flush to bust multiple players on his way to close to 40,000 in chips already.
