The fifth Day 1 starting flight of the 2015 Western New York Poker Challenge Event 5: $50 No-Limit Hold'em is through.
This flight drew a total of 130 players and just 16 survived a quickly paced day that ended before the 14th level was done.
They will join the 67 survivors from the first four Day 1 flights in coming back to play down to a winner Thursday at 12 p.m. local time.
Plus, there is one more Day 1 flight set to go off this evening.
Kali Zurek grabbed the chip lead in the second to last level of the day in a huge aces over kings cooler worth some 160,000 all in preflop.
She will bring in 190,700 chips with her to Day 2 tomorrow, representing the second biggest stack to Day 1d leader Shayne Shackelford's 520,000 built so far.

Emmett Caldwell is looking to be the first player past the 100,000 chip mark having taken the chip lead now after a few big hands in the early levels that including making two pair out of to get the best of one player holding and top pair.
Peter Raimondi has jumped out to the early lead after raking in a big pot.
He bumped it to 600, getting two callers to a flop. It checked around, but he continued for 1,400 and both players flatted on the turn.
Finally, when one opponent bet 2,650 on the river, Raimondi pushed in for 7,950 total. The third player in the hand called, but folded when the player who led out pushed all in for more, revealing for the second nut flush.
Unfortunately for him, it was Raimondi who had for the nut flush and scooped it all.
After making the final tables in both Event #1 and Event #3 at the beginning of the 2015 Western New York Poker Challenge, Rob Davis is performing a little heat check here on Day 1e of Event #5.
He's off to a hot start as well, having made the call with pocket nines when an opponent shoved eights to double him up.
The fifth of six starting flights for Event #5, a $50 buy-in No-Limit Hold'em tournament, will begin at 11 a.m. this morning.
This is the final day to get into the event with the sixth starting flight also set for 7 p.m. this evening. The first four played out Monday and Tuesday with 561 total entries and 67 survivors, putting the event well on its way to smashing its $25,000 Guarantee.
Players get 10,000 in tournament chips and will play 15 20-minute levels or until just 12 percent of the total entries remain.
Unlimited re-entries are permitted up until the start of the 13th level and players can jump in as many starting flights as they like, carrying the biggest stack forward to the final day.
The affordable buy-in and re-entry format was designed to attract both veteran rounders and recreational players and has done so thus far with field sizes growing by the session. Being the last day to build a stack for Day 2, these sessions promise to be the busiest of the bunch.
