Pat Tighe latest hunt for a big score starts now after two huge doubles have given him a top ten stack.
First, he doubled up with queens versus top pair jacks, then got the rest of that opponent's chips and most of Dave Grana's in a massive, almost 80,000-chip pot.
Tighe got it in on an flop holding versus Grana's and held through an run out, leaving Grana, who had already left before they did the math, with just a few chips.
Tighe had a decent year in 2015, cashing for more than $20,000 in Niagara Falls area events and appears poised for another deep run now as we say goodbye to Grana.

Rochester, NY's Peter Vogelaar has jumped into the mix here, making some big hands to close in on 100,000.
He got heaps in with bottom set versus top two pair and held to get above seventy thousand, then flopped aces and queens getting two streets of value before forcing a river fold to push past 90,000.
Vogelar dropped about 6,000 of that a few hands later getting pushed off a pot on a board, but still sits among the leaders now, well into Level 7.

With six full 40-minute levels now behind them, the players are off on the day's second 10-minute break.
Alex Visbisky, who famously finished third in the 2015 Seneca Fall Poker Classic this past November, has worked his way into contention here as Level 6 comes to a close.
Visbisky managed to make quad fours and get a river raise paid off by two players, one with a flush. As a result, he now has it up to more than twice what he started the day with.

Top local cash game grinder Dan Wagner spent most of the last level having some type of hissy fit over the fact PokerNews called Cameron Bartolotta a local legend. Green with envy, apparently Wagner thought it was too much praise for the formidable Bartolotta, who graciously thanked PokerNews for the compliment instead of engaging with the suddenly raging Wagner.
Finally, as Level 6 passed the half way mark, Wagner calmed down, sat down, and decided to start adding to his own legend. Wagner bet 9,200 into a pot of 33,000 on the river of a board and sat very patiently as his opponent tanked for what seemed like an eternity.
Eventually he folded and Wagner is now above the starting stack for the first time today.
