'Buffalo' Ray For Mayor

Level 21 : 20,000/40,000, 4,000 ante
Ray Williams
Ray Williams

Thanks to a Chris Damick downswing, and some cagey play from 'Buffalo' Ray Williams, there's been a change at the top of the chip counts.

Williams is now on top, after getting full value out of a full house with a series of small value bets moments ago.

Raimondi's Run

Level 20 : 15,000/30,000, 4,000 ante
Peter Raimondi
Peter Raimondi

Peter Raimondi was one of four callers of an Alex Visbisky open, leaving him just 150,000 or so behind.

When Visbisky continued on an {a-Hearts}{q-Hearts}{a-} flop, Raimondi was the only taker, calling all in with the {j-Hearts}{10-Hearts}. Turned out Visbisky had big slick, taking away Raimondi's gutshot outs, but he didn't need them.

The turn bricked, but a heart on the river made Raimondi a flush for the double up.

A few hands later he got it in again, this time with a set of eights against top pair and an open ender with one card to come.

The set held and Raimondi is over 1.2 million now.

Paying the bubble

Level 19 : 12,000/24,000, 3,000 ante

A decision was made to take $150 from each spot and pay the bubble $1,350.

They're all in the money now and the payouts will be adjusted.

Down To Ten

Level 19 : 12,000/24,000, 3,000 ante

Dave Grana shoved for 245,000 over a Chris Damcik 60,000-chip open.

Damick called with the {j-Diamonds}{10-Clubs} and was slightly behind Grana's {a-Hearts}{k-Spades}. However, the {10-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{8-Hearts} board gave Damick a pair.

Grana went home 11th and they are now down to ten and combining at a single table to play out the money and official final table bubble.

Changing Fortunes

Level 19 : 12,000/24,000, 3,000 ante
Guy Klass
Guy Klass

Juts a few hands removed from getting sucked out on in a huge pot, Guy Klass open-shoved for a little under 300,000 with the {6-Hearts}{6-Clubs}.

It ended up being a three-way all-in pot with Sam Iraci on the {a-Spades}{j-Spades} and Blake Napierala holding the {a-Clubs}{k-Spades}.

The board ran out {9-Clubs}{10-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{9-Diamonds} turning Klass' fortunes around by giving him a full house and an almost 900,000-chip stack.

Napierala was left reeling and Iraci was left out.

In the meantime, Alex Rivera ran out of beer, and chips, and joined Iraci on the rail to leave 11 remaining.

Spears Chucked

Level 18 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

Alex Visbisky opend with kings on the button and Andy Spears defended his big blind. Spears check-called a bet on the {q-}{10-}{4-} flop with two spades, then check called it off when Visbisky shoved the offsuit {7-} turn.

Spears had the {7-Spades}{6-Spades} but missed on the red ace river to say goodbye.

Raimondi Gets Blake

Level 18 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante
Peter Raimondi
Peter Raimondi

Peter Raimondi has decimated Blake Napierala's chip lead.

Raimondi got it in for 400,000-plus with kings versus Napierala's big slick and flopped the case king for good measure.

The double up cut Napierala down to size and vaulted Raimondi back into contention for the lead with 15 remaining.

A minute later, Johannes Mueller busted getting it in with kings against Norge Mastrangelo's flopped pair of eights. An eight on the turn did him in and they were down to 14.

Then, it looked like Guy Klass would be the next to go when he got it in for 200,000 with sevens against Raimondi's tens. However, Klass turned a seven to survive and leave Raimondi lamenting his luck.
