The last of six starting flights for the The 2017 Seneca Niagara Falls Summer Slam $125 No-Limit Hold'em Reentry event drew 133 entries inside the Niagara Falls Poker Room at the Seneca Niagara Resort & Casino Wednesday.
That made it 456 entries total, creating a guarantee-smashing $43,320 prizepool that will pay the top 45 finishers.
Although it's not official yet, it looks like the first-place prize will be $10,320.
With 17:03 left in Level 13 they reached 16 players remaining, representing 12 percent of the field, and play was halted. That means a total of 58 players will return to contest Day 2 Thursday.
Play will resume at 12 p.m. local time and begin with just about 10 minutes left in Level 11, the earliest stopping time recorded in six flights.
David Battaglia turned kings into the nut flush in a more than 150,000-chip pot to grab the flight chip lead. However, even Seneca's most consitent will be looking up at clubhouse leader and local legend Jason Nablo when play resumes Thursday.
Once again, Day 2 goes off at 12 p.m. and the money bubble should burst rather quickly. They will ultimately play down to a winner with some big money up top so keep it locked on PokerNews to follow all the action.
